October 7, 20177 yr Edit. Just looked at Red’s chart run and it spent 43 weeks in the Top 10  So yeah, expecting more than 30k then. Red spent 4 weeks top 10?
October 7, 20177 yr As I previously said, 1989 sold 90k in week 1, reputation selling only 30k would be a massive comedown and is hugely unlikely imo.
October 8, 20177 yr I predict something like 70k for Reputation and it might be enough to beat Sam's second week, or then not. It's probably quite close. Rag'n'Bone Man's second week was just under 70k, I believe Sam could be doing numbers like that
October 8, 20177 yr I'm sure she's gonna release a brand new single before the album, a real proper classic Taylor single... to me, Look was like a buzz single, like saying I'm back, and Ready is rteally a teaser, the album opener, no more... both tracks are ok but far for classic Taylor and I'm pretty sure they have a big single coming, no way they're just have launch the album on the back of those, would be too shaky and then defo Sam Smith could pip her to #1... but I'm sure the killer proper single is coming and that will make the album a big seller... for me, We are Never Ever, Trouble, Shake it off and Black Space are classics and all have genious moments that the newies lack...
October 8, 20177 yr I think Sam Smith could keep her from #1. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sam sell more than 90K in week 2 but we'll see. What was Ed's second week?
November 1, 20177 yr Author Just seen on Fearne Cottons Instagram that she’s hosting a BBC one Special for Sam to be shown on the 9th! This could just be the boost he needs to stop Taylor getting to #1. Even had the special been shown on the 3rd like I presumed it would have been I still think he’d have done it but this will definitely work in his favour B-)
November 1, 20177 yr I think Sam Smith could keep her from #1. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sam sell more than 90K in week 2 but we'll see. What was Ed's second week? Ed did have SOY and COTH still in top 3 when he released the album almost 2 months after release them TGAG is struggling to stay top 20 so maybe he won’t be as massive If Taylor has promo that week she could clinch it but could be highest selling number 2 album if not
November 1, 20177 yr TGAG is struggling to stay top 20 so maybe he won’t be as massive Struggling so hard that it's still in the top 5 :')
November 1, 20177 yr TGAG is struggling to stay top 20 so maybe he won’t be as massive 1-1-1-2-3-3-5 7 weeks inside the top 5 and 3 weeks at number 1... although after the next 2 weeks it'll be on ACR so I guess it will be dropping out of the top 20 by week 10.
November 1, 20177 yr Oops I meant top 5   so won’t have the astronomical sales of ed Ed had a drop from 620k to 300k in week 2 If sam does even half of that it’s not looking good for Taylor
November 2, 20177 yr Taylor's first week will easily outsell the c**t's second x I think that's disgusting. Even if you dislike an artist there's no need to call them that. Sam Smith's second week will not be a threat for Taylor Swift lbr. Next Thursday he has a prime-time BBC1 hour long special though which will boost sales for his second week.
November 4, 20177 yr http://www.digitalspy.com/music/news/a8422...vember-release/ I know it’s the US album chart but hopefully she can push some momentum over to the uk
November 4, 20177 yr She should easily pass 1M in the US pure sales alone. I reckon she’s on X Factor next week so she should do 80-100K really.
November 8, 20177 yr Judging by Sam's first week sales I think she'll easily beat his second week and secure No.1.
