2 become 1 up to #640 on Apple music, highest I've seen any spice girls songs in a while.

It’s still in the top 600 on iTunes and still appearing on Apple Music. I’m hoping it’ll get an even bigger push next Christmas. Also annoyed that Stay another day always gets into the top 100, gets playlisted and played on radio and it’s not even a Christmas song. Granted there’s bells in the song and in the video it’s snowing just happened to be no.1 at Christmas time. It’s no more Christmassy than 2 Become 1 🤦‍♂️

Rant over 😆

Even though the album version of Holler has more streams it has been replaced by Goodbye which is now the 10th Most Popular song on the Spice Girls Spotify page.

I'm glad Goodbye is gathering some streams leading up to Christmas. The album version of Goodbye has been streamed 9.1 million times so far.

True. Again, the label (and the girls) could do much more to promote their THREE CHRISTMAS NUMBER ONES even after all these years. It's the typical 'minimum effort' strategy they love so much since November 2000.

Yes who else can we blame :yahoo: I mean 3 Christmas number ones in a row, a feat matching THE BEATLES. I'd be boasting about that every year.

right?...

Goodbye always overtakes Holler for their number 10 on Spotify this time of year then slips back down in Jan.

Goodbye should be well over 100million streams if there was any justice :cheer:

Wonder why the big increase?

My guess is that it's due to their Christmas number ones? People might be more inclined to just buy it if they remember that they had 2 Become 1, Too Much and Goodbye on there as Christmas number ones (which is also another reason why they should do a low-effort attempt to re-promote the fact they had three Xmas number ones). :arrr:

Yeah but you would expect a more gradual climb from that. I know itunes sales are low but be a bit odd if 10 people all downloaded about the same time randomly.

I don't have itunes maybe itunes front page is promoting GH by lots of artists.

I'm surprised the girls haven't cashed in on a ballads compilation album. Universal Music Group probably would milk their catalogue if the girls didn't have veto power.

Gosh I thought about that the other day. Imagine a Christmas album with Christmas remixes of their ballads and Christmas songs plus a coulpe of covers thrown in for good measure? I mean, I loath Christmas but I would buy it lol

Or a release like Something to Remember by Madonna

They could def do an EP for Christmas

1. 2 Become 1

2. Too Much

3. Goodbye

4. Christmas Wrapping

5. Emma - Coming Home For Christmas

6. Melanie - Solo

7. Mel B - Solo

8. Geri - Solo

Imagine if they did expanded versions of all their albums next year, along with bundles with various formats being sold via their website? Then they could also re-promote the Greatest Hits in the 4th quarter with extra material and a commercial stating "includes all their greatest hits (showing Wannabe, Say You'll Be There, Spice Up Your Life) and their three Christmas #1s! (showing 2 Become 1, Too Much, Goodbye)". And then they'll release a singles boxset with all their singles, including Move Over and Step To Me. And then a "unreleased rarities" cd with their best unreleased material...

Ha ha, j/k will never happen

A ballads compilation album like Something To Remember would be a no brainer. Include 2 or 3 unreleased songs and fans will buy it. Easy money for the girls and Universal Music Group.

1. 2 Become 1

2. Mama

3. Too Much

4. Viva Forever

5. Goodbye

6. Let Love Lead The Way

7. Headlines

8. Angels

9. Treasure

10. A Day In Your Life

They could tack on Oxygen and Time Goes By if they wanted to make it a 12 track album.
