Mother's day boost should start this weekend (mother's day is next Sunday 14th) but the build up usually starts this weekend when supermarkets going into over drive to flog chocolates and tat.

Would be nice if the GH was stocked better whenever there was activity or at least an anniversary with other compilations and GH albums

Part of me likes to believe that their team has started to do some internal push for their catalogue in prep for June!

The only good thing is having all 4 albums on vinyl means at least all 4 are in print. They all tick over a few sales weekly on Amazon, which for Spiceworld and Forever is a nice bonus given they would have had countless weeks the last few years with 0 physical sales.

Having them available is important and will always attract casual sales.

The GH is #1 on NZ itunes, doesn't mean much but nice to see.

Maybe there is also the new film with Wannabe in that the social media posted about a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it is getting a staggered streaming release hence random boosts in countries.

 

I think it shows if they sort the rights out like the team was doing to get Spiceworld on streaming services this summer it could really help their music sales and audio streams.

I always wished that the SW cd had never been out of print. It’s an amazing pop album and the artwork is stunning but I guess that as many fans have said before it helps to sell the GH

Spiceworld, just like Spice, should have always been in print. It's one of the best selling albums ever, come on.... The fact that Spice is still in print doesnt obfuscate the Greatest Hits - much to the contrary...

 

If Spiceworld was in print over the last 15 years, it would have its sales a bit higher than they are now, thats for sure..

They have changed the front cover of the best of playlist and promoted it this evening with WDYTYA/Mama anniversary.

 

Imo the best of play list is much better than the 'this is' playlist that is littered with random solo songs. Hopefully they are gearing up for this summer and the catalogue getting another push.

Mama is nearly in the Top 200 UK iTunes chart too. I can imagine it increasing towards next week's Mother's Day as well as collecting a few more streams too.

Their monthly Spotify users is over 7.8m now. The playlist they used on social media to promote for Mama and WDYTYA anniversary has gained 700 extra followers. It just shows a bit of proper effort can get nice gains, imagine that effort put in throughout a year.

It shouldn't be much longer until it has a higher UK sales total than Say You'll Be There. So eventually it'll be their 3rd best seller, even though a few years ago it was 5th, behind Goodbye too!

Justice for Spice up your life, should have been a multi-million seller in the 90's!!

Hopefully their catalogue gets a big boost this summer and SUYL can get double platform cert asap.

 

At least right now their audio and video streams all seem to be going up and in the right direction.
