Headlines begs to differ... and so does all of Melanie C's and Emma's recent work

Headlines wasn’t released during the streaming era. Also if Spotify had existed for the Spice Girls first solo eras, for example, they’d obviously have a higher play count. Like any artist 20 years into their career they’ll never gain the streams that say Drake, Ed or Ariana would get.

I mean similar comparative hits. Wannabe will never have as many streams as a 7 week number 1 released now.

Wannabe has reached 570m streams and Stop has reached 94m on Spotify

Wannabe does between 10-10.5m streams a month and Stop does around 2m which means they will both reach 700m and 100m respectively in the middle of July; just at the time of the 25th anniversary :cheer:

Spice Girls have crossed 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify. I don't think it's been that high since the 2019 tour. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The 'All Out 90s' Playlist on Spotify was updated last week.

Spice Girls are the cover image and six of their songs appear on the 150 track playlist. Wannabe, WDYTYA and SYBT all feature in the Top 20.

The playlist also has over 6.5 million likes. I'm sure that's helped their listeners to increase too.

Urgh at their two best ballads - Viva Forever and Goodbye - and huge 90s iconic hits, not being included though....

I think it's because it's mainly a party playlist? Though I might be wrong about that...

Is that the playlist that used to have Stop as the 2nd highest song on the playlist? Maybe its streams will slow down a bit now that it’s not so high up (20th song in the list now)

I’m Outta Love and Independent Woman included... 👀

I always like and add to my library playlists they are on, the bigger the playlist gets the more I'm sure Spotify will push it.

Spice Girls are 2k away from 8.1m monthly listeners on Spotify.

Wannabe and Stop remain consistent and both should reach their big milestones in July! :cheer: 600m and 100m respectively.
