Thanks Rush! Interesting to see them compared & it’s quite a similar pattern. I wish Spice Girls could get enough of a boost to be back in the Top 500 again! They gained 500k more listeners fairly quickly, so I hope they keep increasing.

Could you imagine the streams the spice era would have had, if they had their success in the streaming era their sales would be absolutely huge (not that they arent already) New acts that go big have a huge advantage over artists who were big pre streaming although financially the spice girls were better having their success when they did id say.

Wannabe did over 450,000 streams on Spotify this Saturday.

 

Listeners are now up to 8.7m

 

Fingers crossed they keep getting a boost this summer with more listeners and that Wannabe increases too for the anniversary

That's a big jump from yesterday's monthly listeners, up 79k in one day!

 

Hopefully it will be over 9m in June.

The Top 200 is stuffed with Greatest Hits, so it annoys me that Spice Girls apparently don’t generate the level of streaming that many other artists do. I mean, Westlife’s Greatest Hits is in the chart... I find it eyebrow raising that they’re apparently getting better streams for their old singles than Spice Girls.

It is a shame how their streaming has consistently lagged behind some of their peers' over the years...

 

Here's hoping they get growing and included in various playlists. They certainly have a short repertoire and it is mostly all iconic anyway!

Hopefully with the 2 year anniversary of the tour starting today a lot of people will get reminders on their social media in the UK and increase their UK streams.
