I think she's really the only worthy winner there tbh and I think over the weeks shes shown that she can actually back up her behaviour with her talent.

 

Pus I think last week showed (like Violet) that's she's growing in terms of how she treats people.

Yeah I really can't see past Aquaria winning :lol: Even as a Eureka fan she's not really Next Drag Superstar for me, and the same goes for Asia, she's polished and professional but neither are where drag is going. Aquaria feels very much like a new era Drag Race winner, she's winning over the fans but she's also where drag is going and shows the potential it has fashion wise, like Violet, but unlike Violet Aquaria also has clout with her comedy which gives her such an edge.

Agreed - I think in a few of the tasks Aquaria has shown she isn't afraid to get ugly/ do comedy etc - In the Bossy Rossy Task, the Snatch Game and also last weeks tasks too. And do well in them... something which I guess Violet didn't always manage to do but always killed the runway. Aquaria feels like she can do anything

 

I guess it all depends if there is the lip sync knockout for the top 4 as I guess she could get eliminated that way

I mean, really, it depends whether they do Lip Sync For The Crown again because that throws all this logical discussion out of the window. In the format it’s currently in, I can’t see anyone but Aquaria winning but we were saying this about Shea this time last year.

True, I'd be really quite annoyed if Asia won that way which could happen :drama: :lol:

Oh, I’d be ELATED! I still really don’t care for the 3 front runners in my eyes (Aquaria, Eureka and Kameron).

 

This has such a parallel to Season 7 for me and I’ve seen others say the same.

 

Violet = Aquaria

Ginger = Eureka

Kameron = Pearl

Asia = Kennedy

Cracker = Katya

 

...and well, I guess that leaves Monét.

I’d be really happy with Asia too, she’d be my top pick with Cracker (but the latter is getting some weird feedback from the judges and clearly won’t make the final). I’d actually say Asia is just a much if not more of a front runner as Kameron though! Kameron seems to have coasted through to a point, whereas Asia had lower lows but hasn’t had more stand out moments.

This is, more or less, where I find myself as well.

 

I think I went into this thinking that Aquaria would be your usual overhyped instagram "style over substance" queen but to her credit she's far exceeded my expectations when it comes to the performance tasks and to my mind she'd make a far more worthy winner than the "all I can do is look pretty" queens like Violet and Tyra.

 

Ideal world I'm still hoping for a Cracker/Asia top 2 but I think I've made my peace with Aquaria winning.

Asia would be my least favourite winner since Tyra, just can't take to her at all :/ I'm hoping if they do lipsync for the crown Aquaria is randomly a proper lipsync assassin like seemingly everyone else this season :lol:

If anything I think the parallel is with Season 2 rather than Season 7.

 

The polished runway queen without much of a personality who ends up winning = Tyra/Aquaria

The admirable runner up who makes a recovery after a few dodgy moments = Raven/Asia

The nice queen who can kill a lipsync = Jujubee/Kameron

The one who can't help but get caught up in every single drama that ever happens = Tatianna/Eureka

The "always the bridesmaid" kooky comedy queen = Pandora/Cracker

The hot mess first boot who gets invited back next season = Shangela/Miss Vanjie

And Tyra to Aquaria?

 

Trya has a personality and its horrific.

 

Aquaria has shown way more versatility than Tyra and can do comedy and is more than just looks.

 

Also likening Raven to Asia is a bit absurd as well. Asia may be seasoned but has done little this season to warrant a win

A lot of the appeal of Aquaria for me is that she isn't the Tyra 2.0 she seemed at first glanc :lol: I really thought she'd be a jumped up entitled Insta queen (which if Insta when Tyra was emerging and 21, she would be) who'd just be out for herself and be awful to everyone and all precious, but like we've said she isn't afraid to make herself look silly, she can be funny, and she's doing a Violet in going on a journey and actually appreciating the others and the experience and using it to grow as a person. Tyra was just out for herself and to win and would bulldoze over everyone by being a twat. Aquaria is basically a more rounded Violet, her runway looks aren't *as* good as Violet however fab they are, but then nobody on Drag Race is as good as Violet there :lol: Aquaria makes up for that with being funny too when she needs to be which sets her apart. I mean I guess Tyra did "funny" in Country Queens but Aquaria has done it multiple times and is just much warmer in the actual episodes.

 

I think Kameron fits Jujubee more than Pearl (although Jujubee was louder and more fun) but apart from that this is definitely more season 7 parallel. Asia as Kennedy is a good shout too, particularly in how I feel. There's a lot of polish and professionalism from both, and certainly talent, but I never really took to Kennedy. There's not really anything to particularly dislike about either but I just can't really love either one.

CRACKER FINALLY!!!!!!!! :wub: She definitely deserved that, I think Eurea and Asia did well too in terms of family resemblance and selling it on the runway, but Eureka already did that look (and Frankie lowkey looked like Caityln Jenner....), and like Ross said Asia did kind of upstage her sister rather than coming across as as much of a family resemblence as say Cracker and Cookie. Cracker totally turned it out, she had a much harder job in having a straight guy who was a bit reserved, whereas with say Frankie and Tyler they were already quite confident and "extra" for want of a better word so were kind of already there with the attitude. That's what I love in these makeover challenges, when they take someone who seems like they're gonna be a disaster and turn it out and disprove the worries and make it WORK. Also Lizzo can be a judge forever plz, QUEEN. And Miles Heizer looked fineeeee as f*** :wub:

 

Kameron's lipsync as well!! God she is KILLING it. A totally different vibe to last week's song but she totally sold it in the same way. Normally I'm irked by those people who sail by on lipsyncs but if Kameron is gonna bring that every time let her lipsync to the crown tbh. She feels and embodies the songs and totally sells them like her life depends on it, rather than relying on stunts etc. desperately at the end when she might not have done enough like some queens do :lol:

 

Honestly though Aquaria slaying comedy challenges and Cracker winning the makeover with Aquaria faltering though, madness :rofl:

 

 

A week off next week though </3

Oh, I didn’t know about next week :(. Cracker did great this week! Cookie looked great and was feelin’ her puss. I personally thought that Asia’s jackets were ugly so i’d have had her in the bottom two with Kameron. Also I really liked Aquaria’s looks this week, but Kingsley was visibly nervous on the runway, and the outfit she give her wasn’t particularly great.

 

Sad to see Monét go, thought she stormed off mid lipsync at one point, thought that her and Kameron did a great performance but I just a smidge preferred Kameron (actually thought this was closer than last week) plus Monét was on her third time in the bottom.

 

I think that Kameron will have to kill it next week to stay, if not her then Cracker or Eureka’s going, I think Asia and Aquaria are Ru’s top 2.

Why isn’t it out on netflix yet

Aquaria was awful this week, not just her makeover but her own look was uncharacteristically tacky. She was lucky to escape the bottom 2. I actually thought Kameron's was okay! And Monet's wasn't too bad either. They were clearly the bottom 3 though.

 

 

Yay for Cracker! She should technically be on like her 3rd win by now but whatever, I'm glad she got her cookies.

I usually love the makeover challenges but other than Cracker, nobody really impressed me. Chester looked absolutely gorgeous in drag and I loved that he embodied a personality throughout the runway, music video and critiques. An overdue yet fully deserved win for Cracker.

 

I'm most disappointed with Aquaria - I loved her look but there was no synergy between her and Kingsley who looked basic a.f. I'm kind of surprised that she didn't get put in the bottom two, especially as Kameron and Anthony had better chemistry on the runway.

 

I'm kind of sad that Monet was the only queen in the top 7 not to win a challenge, especially as she had so many 'almost there' moments but she was definitely the weakest overall queen of those remaining.
