so a couple of thoughts about the most memorable queens

 

Miz Cracker - such a funny introduction video. i feel shes going to be a bitch though

 

Ive seen her live countless times and she is very basic...she has some jokes though.

 

I have a feeling that she is not going to last too long lol because I'm telling you that I saw her from October through December almost every other week...unless this started filming after January which i wasn't able to go back to the bar she usually performs.

I'm pretty sure they filmed in like September and October so that doesn't mean anything for her run on the show :lol:

The queens I am really feeling are Asia O'Hara, Monet X Change, Miz Cracker, The Vixen and Yahua Hamisaki.

 

I am quite liking Monique Heart and Mayhem Miller too, they seem good but I feel like I need to see more of them to be entirely convinced.

 

Aquaria seems like she has potential, is very polished and will give some great fashion moments. I have been a fan of her Instagram for so long but I'm finding her far too conceited for my liking this far. That MTQ video was horrible, she came across cold and stiff as anything. We shall see how she turns out.

 

Eureka is Eureka. And then the other 5 (Kameron, Kalorie, Dusty, Vanessa and Blair St Clair) all seem like obviously early exits/forgettable.

 

Looking forward to looking back to see how accurate my first opinions are.

aquaria seems like that kind of queen who definitely has a polished look, but that's given her WAY too much self-confidence. she seems like one of those queens who thinks because her look is down that she is just the BEST thing. you can tell she'll do an aja on season 9 and be like 'my lipsyncs are so high energy and AMAZING' but it'll just be her moving fast with really messy moves. willing to be proved wrong but she is so unlikeable at this point.

 

my fave at this point is deffo Monet X Change - she has a charisma and warmth that the other girls don't seem to have combined. she seems self-assured, funny and put-together (ignoring that one shot of blue lipstick on her teeth!!!)

 

LOL at nearly every queen being like I'M A THEATER QUEEN!!! - i just feel like they're never as funny or as edgy as i want them to be. i know performance is crucial but labelling as that for me is just a turn-off.

Yeah i definitely get that from Aquaria too! I'm aware of her vaguely from social media, but obviously i's a total different things putting out great looks on Instagram to coming across well on this show. Having properly watched the MTQ again, I kind of get the feeling she's gonna be a c*** and was trying really hard to suppress that so came across as a bit contrived and cold rather than natural in it. She wasn't really alone in that, Sasha was hardly warmth and radiance, it was also a bit rushed in places but I understand we can hardly have like an hour per queen or whatever and it went on quite a bit regardless. I suppose it's hard to fully radiate and show what you have in that little space of time, but I agree with Lew that Monet did that best and has me probably the most excited out of all the queens.

 

Looks wise I'm totally here for Yuhua although I didn't get much from her MTQ. I've got a good feeling about Miz Cracker too.

Oh I thought that when they film they usually are under contract and can't do other things until they finish with it. I guess I am wrong!!!

Finally caught up on watching all the Meet The Queens videos, the promo shots, the videos and the Sasha Facebook live! Gonna rank how I feel about them after all of that which will be fun to look back on when everything changes later in the series no doubt. Trinity would've been last last year and she ended up being my favourite of the whole series!

YES. There are many other ways they could spice up the show a bit without adding stupid twists, like I said in the All Stars 3 thread in the Thai version they have separate winners for the runway and main challenge if it's not a fashion challenge, which I really like as a way to make the runways stand out more and matter. The main challenge winner ended up bottom 2 the other week, which seems silly given they won a challenge but it was an ATROCIOUS runway so I guess it would just show nobody's safe? It's rare that someone wins a challenge and does badly enough on the runway to undo that anyway so it's something I'd not mind to make it bigger and better for season 10. But when it comes to the winner, it really should just be a straight thing and not come down to a lipsync where someone like Peppermint can get top 2.

The first fourteen minutes of the premiere have dropped and are out there if you want to go looking for them!

My opinions have already changed of some of them with the entrances, I'm interested to see what the challenge is now as it cut off just then :lol: Purely on the entrance looks though this looks to be a strong season and I'm interested to see what happens. There's a clear bottom few imo so far but who knows once the challenges set in?

bitches become more polished each season. ain't no chi chis or cha chas here anymore. gonna be interesting to see how this unfolds.

I am getting Alexis Michelle/Derrick Barry lots of bottom critiques but scraping by quite far from him.
