September 2, 20186 yr the kooks, wombats, ting tings, razorlight are all back with new shit at the same time. is this 2008 all over again?!
September 6, 20186 yr seeing Julien Baker live again tomorrow in a little venue in Copenhagen yay cannot wait
September 8, 20186 yr when to see Julien Baker live yesterday, amazing gig, amazing venue, a small place in Copenhagen she's such a great performer and her setlist are good, as she plays the highlights from her 2 albums, opening with Appointments and closing with Turn off the lights with all her best tracks being played Something, Rejoice, Hurts less, Funeral pyre, Sprained ankle, Sour breathe overall, amazing gig
November 2, 20186 yr TheNeedleDrop gave "You Won't Get What You Want" by Daughters a 10, his second of the year - I mean come on? The record is dragged out, boring, repetitive, quite uncomfortable to listen to and screams try-hard. One of the weakest of the year for me and for the life of me I can't think what's so good about it.
January 14, 20196 yr https://twitter.com/BombayBicycle/status/1084842688036462592 Bombay Bicycle Club are back! :D
February 14, 20196 yr Would folks / mods be up for a rate (honestly I don't rly enjoy calling them 'rates' lol but I guess that's what they are... Would prefer like 'discussion thread which gives the spotlight to all the singles' or something lmao :P) of James Blake singles? With the new album out for nearly a month, it might be kool~ to give the spotlight to a lot of his songs and see what people think. The Grimes Rate was thoroughly enjoyable so why not ^_^
February 14, 20196 yr I'm definitely here for that, will be a good excuse for me to finally actually listen to 'The Colour In Anything'.
February 14, 20196 yr Why thank you Bré! (I also "should" listen to The Colour in Anything more lol...) It was kinda either James, Massive Attack (who I'm seeing live next week with Elizabeth Fraser ;o) or Icelandic goddess Björk (who had an unfinished rate years ago by someone else :kink:) but I strongly opted for James for now (I don't wanna 'hog' rates but I'd be up for doing those others at some point in future too). If mods express being cool with it, I'll put a lil something together.
March 4, 20196 yr Bastille's debut Bad Blood came out 6 years ago today! Still a fantastic album - really looking forward to Doom Days this year.

March 7, 20196 yr I Can't See is fantastic YAY! Someone else who likes that song. Sad to hear about the split. I remember getting You Can Believe as an iTunes Single Of The Week back in 2014.
March 9, 20196 yr Better news! It may not be the end of them, but they will be on a break for the forseeable future. @1103946068423835649 @1103946331310182402
March 10, 20196 yr saw 2 of my fav acts this week in concert, first Ry X in Copenhagen, singer-songwriter but a bit dance-y, falsetto vocals, most famous for his song Berlin, he has a new album that is really good, the gig was short (11 songs) but very very good, really enjoyed it then The Tallest Man on Earth in Malmo, the Swedish Bob Dylan :) that's how they refer to him in Sweden, he's fantastic, especially live, he plays solo, no band no gimmicks nothing, just him and the guitar, no need for more. Incredible gig and incredible performer.
March 13, 20196 yr Whatever happened to Indie SOTY 2018? really been flopping with that, sorry :kink: i'll try and get the thread up tonight (assuming anyone will still be interested)
March 21, 20196 yr Rock Sound magazine are setting up their own record label! I buy the magazine occasionally and they feature a great array of new artists, so I'm interested who they will sign! @1108835780775022606
