November 11, 20177 yr Author Proper review: 01 Kevin 9.5/10 Vocally on a whole other level to anyone tonight, I think Alisah is the only vocalist left who's technically better. I wouldn't go mad over his material after the show but I cannot faul his last two performances really. Like I said last week, he feels like a guest performer plugging his own single, there's such a polished and professional feel to his whole performance. 02 Cutkelvins 8/10 Solid, definitely an improvement over the disappointing mess last week, they bring the energy every time and that was needed tonight. They do feel awkward to watch on stage though, as I say ever week it feels like Shereen is like Ella Eyre doing her thing and then there's the two rent-a-rappers tagged on for a more commercial single, especially with the style of music that they do. The boys just feel redundant as even though they do their rap bits it's really Shereen who IS the group. 03 Rak-Su 6.5/10 Wsn't a huge fan of the fact they just basically made faith into another of their originals sampling it, they're getting a bit samey now, but it was competent enough. 04 Jack & Joel 4/10 Vocally competent but they were just cheesy and annoying to watch, basically a vocally better version of Diva Fever, so not fussed they went really even if I'd have preferred Matt or bloody Sean & Connor. 05 Matt 2/10 His paper thin voice is borderline painful to listen to, there's just nothing to it. I think he'd ok with sort o like more acoustic "nice" songs that don't really go anywhere, anything that makes him push himself even slightly ends up with him sounding really strained, but if you have to limit yourself like that that means you aren't that good  06 Sean & Conor Price 1/10 Tone-deaf is definitely right  Beyond terrible.

November 12, 20177 yr 1. Kevin - I really didn't get the appeal of him at judges houses, or in week 1 of lives (when he was my least favourite of the weekend) - but the last two weeks have been something of a revelation! Very strong vocals, and captivating. 2. Rak-Su - I actually like that they interpolated the bridge/chorus of Faith and made it more "them". Another strong performance! 3. Jack & Joel - A shame to see them go! Jack is actually a great singer, really did the song justice & even sounded quite like George in parts of it. 4. The Cutkelvins - Definitely an improvement on last week. Shereen bordered on being shouty again, but she was better towards the end of the performance when her brothers joined her in singing. Perhaps they'd be stronger if they shared out the vocals rather than pushing her as the lead. 5. Matt - Very strained... he made heavy weather of a beautiful song. 6. Sean & Connor - Just abysmal, and they have been throughout. :( They're really outstaying their welcome now.
November 12, 20177 yr They were never going to be everyone's cup of tea but Jack and Joel definitely deserved to stay over Sean and Connor and Matt. Vocally Jack is really strong and I've liked them way more than I expected to. I just do not understand the appeal of Sean and Connor. They sound absolutely horrific. Kevin was in an entirely differently league. He deserved that win.
November 12, 20177 yr More bad press for Grace today then. It looks like the producers don't want her to win. -_- She screams third place (at maximum) imo with Rak-Su and Kevin fighting for the crown. Edited November 12, 20177 yr by Jason
November 12, 20177 yr More bad press for Grace today then. It looks like the producers don't want her to win. -_- She screams third place (at maximum) imo with Rak-Su and Kevin fighting for the crown. Yep could definitely see that, or even Matt/Sean & Conor sneaking ahead & pushing her down to 5th!
November 12, 20177 yr Alisha - I really liked her this time, she wasn't screaming, but, I'm not sure if the public liked it too. Alisha - 8.0
November 12, 20177 yr Sam - This song choice means probably a farewell performance, but it wasn't that bad imo. Alisha - 8.0 Sam - 5.5
November 12, 20177 yr That was awful, very karoake 0/10 I didn't feel it, just sounded like the original.
November 12, 20177 yr I can see this competition will be the Girls vs The Bands in a few weeks time, with the Boys and Overs gone
