Since landing his big break breakthrough as a co-producer with Xenomania on The Saturday's 2011 single All Fired Up, MNEK's mark can now be found all over pop music. The list of acts the singer/songwriter/producer has worked with is now seriously impressive. Beyonce. Madonna. Stormzy. Kylie Minogue. Little Mix. Diplo. And that's just a few of them. He's also had plenty of success as a headliner, making his Official Chart debut in 2014 featuring on Gorgon City's Ready For Your Love (which he co-wrote), his Zara Larsson collab Never Forget You and this year, teaming up with Stormzy on Blinded By You Grace Pt 2. To celebrate his 23rd birthday today (Happy Birthday MNEK! 🎉), we've delved into the numbers to reveal which are the biggest tracks he's worked on for other artists. Handily, he's put all his work to date into a Spotify playlist. MNEK's had a hand in three Number 1s on the Official Singles Chart. Little Mix's Wings, where he's credited as a programmer, was the first in 2012, but his first chart-topper as a co-writer was on Duke Dumont's breakthrough hit Need U (100%). The song spent two weeks at Number 1 in January 2013, finishing just ahead of Ding-Dong The Witch Is Dead in its second week, which re-entered the Official Chart after the death of Margaret Thatcher. To date, Need U has shifted 532,000 across downloads and streaming equivalent sales and is the sixth biggest song he's worked on. Speaking of Little Mix, MNEK produced their recent single Touch from their Glory Days album, which finishes second on the list with 998,000 combined sales, just ahead of Oliver Heldens's 2014 chart-topper Gecko (Overdrive) ft. Becky Hill on 869,000. Further down, Beyonce's Hold Up, which counts MNEK as one of the song's many collaborators, places 12th on this list with 245,000 combined sales - though it's worth noting the track isn't available on most streaming services. Meanwhile, Madonna's Living For Love, of which he joined in on its writing sessions, is just outside in 16th. Finally, MNEK's most successful track he's worked on for someone else is Jax Jones's You Don't Know Me ft. Raye. He's one of several co-writers on the track, which spent eight weeks in the Top 10 earlier this year, peaking at Number 3. To date, it's notched up a whopping 1.04 million combined sales. Now having turned out hits for the best part of a decade, we've dived into the numbers to find out which are the biggest tracks MNEK has written, co-written or produced for other artists and doesn't feature on. Around the time of its release MNEK revealed he was flown out to the Knowles' residence in Los Angeles to discuss the track's concept and listen to a rough demo, which he took back to London to write what would become the song's bridge. Beyond pop superstars, MNEK has forged longtime collaborative partnerships with producer Jax Jones (the "watcha-watcha-gon' do?" intro tag on Jax's songs is sung by MNEK) and pop warbler Becky Hill. The most successful of his work with Jax is also his biggest production overall; You Don't Know Me ft. Raye (1.5m chart sales).
