So while Netflix & Amazon are the main players (and Hulu if it ever truly goes international) Disney is going to be launching a streaming service in 2019.

Already confirmed to be in the works are a new Marvel TV programme, a live-action Star Wars show & a High School Musical spin-off.

I think Netflix will always have dominance in the market as it launched first & by the time it loses all of its licensing for some TV shows and movies, it already has enough original content to survive. Amazon is Amazon, but I still think it needs a huge hit to really take off.

??????

I mean great that I finally have a place to binge watch Andi Mack that isn’t dodgy even though I have to wait a while but still

Major news but I can’t help but GROAN at yet another Marvel TV show!! It’s not the same as a film where you only have to watch two hours and so you can produce multiple at a time. Marvel already have Agents of SHIELD, Inhumans, Dardevil, Luke cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher all going with Cloak and Dagger, Runaways and New Warriors in development and then Agenr Carter is finished.

They want to add ANOTHER to the list??

This just seems to capitalise on something where they’res already waay too much TV. Although, it does stand to have more chance of being a hit than say Amazon Prime due to all the well known brands.

Interesting that they’re developing a live-action Star Wars series. Obviously it’s the most obvious decision to help lauch this streaming service but I’m fearing that they’re very much draining/diluting the Star Wars brand with all these spin-off films and the latest annoucement of a new trilogy. I mean they’ve only released two films so far in this latest revivial and we’ve got an announced 6 more to come at the very least!!

I am very intrigued about the Monsters Inc series though!! So long as this is actually a sequel this time. Watch it focus on conpletely random characters...

Disney are definitely making this well worth it with all the Pixar films too and presumably shows like Hannah Montana/Lizzie McGuire??

I hope it has every episode of That's So Raven and Lizzie McGuire

I've been dismissive up until now. If it has Lizzie McGuire i'm in
