My sentiments exactly! Such a wonderful surprise... I really don't know what it is, but even after all these years, seeing the 5 of them together is so special and makes me feel really happy!

Me too  I've got a little bit of that 2007 feeling all over again.

Come on girls slay 2018 for me!
Statement is exciting but quite vague!

When they say "exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of the Spice Girls" it has me worried about the idea of a reality TV show to find a new girl group to carry on their ethos for a new generation, or something.

I have no idea what this means, but I like it.

Hmmmmm statement is vague no actual mention of music. It worries me Vic and Simon are the driving force behind this as music seems to be not on Vic's list of priorities.

That's absolutely what it will be :(

Could it be a Spice Girls 2.0/ Spice Girls Juniors thing then?

I guess a new girl band to take over from the Saturdays, as the last decent one, is ok

You can’t find a new SGs, they should know that.

You're right tbh :/

They are probably after a long-sustained, minimal effort thing for them, like the disastrous musical. A tv talent show would do that, and the time is right - X Factor is basically no more and the Voice a non-ent.

I'd like to be excited but it'll probably be a reality show about finding the "next" Spice Girls.
If this is some lame attempt at creating a "Spice Girls Juniors" through some cringey "Let It Shine" style talent show then I am NOT HERE FOR IT (but I will watch it.)
Apparently Victoria's fashion empire is crumbling and lost £8.5 million last year, which is why she's doing this!

She's been working with Victoria since 2005!

I've decided to be upbeat, some of the least expected things have been some of my fave things since 2000. The Tesco adverts and Viva Forever documentary being 2 examples. Who knows what unexpected treats we will get.

I'm also grateful the pic from inside the theatre with Vic in a suit and the others in dresses isnt the last 5 piece pic we ever get.

I'm trying to be positive too, but at the same time I don't want to set myself up for disappointment. I just want whatever it is to be music related and purely about them!

Yeah but that’s because her company invested more, sales were actually stable. Also it was based on 2016, prior to her strong deals with Target and Estée Lauder and a £30 million investment from a backer last year.

They only realistically took home a few million each from the 2007 reunion, so can’t see it being more for this reunion.

That skulking Emily leStrange moment is ICONIC

Mel C was on the phone to Dermot on Radio 2 earlier this morning

Mel admitted that it was very early days for any announcement yet.

"The funny thing is, unfortunately, we can't do anything without it being all over the press," Mel said. "It's the worst kept secret in showbiz, isn't it?"

"It was lovely to get together and we are talking about opportunities and ideas we've got for the future, but it is early stages and there's nothing set in stone," she explained. "There's no big announcement –but it's just great to be back in Spice World and to see the reaction.

During the quick chat, Mel C also revealed that yesterday's catch-up was actually the first time all five of the women have been together since their performance at the Olympics 2012 closing ceremony – which is, to use Mel's word, "bonkers" – and added that, whatever they do, they hope it will be empowering.

"I think we now realise some of the impact that we did have on young people at the time and now we all have kids – there's another generation that enjoy our music," she added.

Mel C was also denying anything was happening in her last few interviews. You don't crack opem bubbly, have your manager over and make this much fuss unless you signed on the dotted line yesterday. Victoria wouldn't tease a reunion that wont happen.
