I think a clothing line could be interesting, but, for me, nothing would be more empowering than reworking the lyrics of WOMAN and release it with a video full of other amazing women, like a real girl power anthem. Absolutely nothing would top that, for me.

 

And I wish Anna Wintour would give them a cover again (even though she regrets the one they did), it would be amazing.

A bunch of current huge female stars plus Spice Girls singing over this lively track, a video with female firefighters, politicians, etc, in it. It would be amazing.

Anyways, regarding Victoria's latest comments.... If you aren't reuniting for something relating to singing (new music, repackaged GH with some unreleased material, performances, tour, ect...) then whats the point really? I'm beginning to think all of them posting those pictures together was just a ploy to show the public that they are still in communication with each other. :(

 

 

I just pray there is a pop version out there that one day shall surface, this one used on the rehearsal is BEYOND lifeless (which makes me wonder if Darkchild sucked the life out of it too, just like he did with Right Back at Ya).

 

The live version is just perfect (except for some cringey parts on the lyrics)

 

 

 

I have a feeling there will be nothing and they got together to get that photo to show they are friends. In line with the #metoo hype at the moment.

 

Simon was there and they have hired a publicist for the group.

 

I think right now non of us can trust anything they say as they obviously want to keep whatever they have planned a secret.

 

Victoria was very recently saying there would be no reunion and then a month later she is meeting all 5 girls and releasing a joint statement and hiring a publicist for the group.

 

Mel c said in a tv interview in April last year she thought something might happen. That is probably how long this has bee n rolling for.

 

Mel B flew in for a single day for that meeting with the girls and Simon it was for sure to sign contracts.

 

They aren't meeting again till the beginning of April in L.A so don't expect any of them to confirm anything or give anything away till after that.

I can't stop listening to that pop version. It has a string quartet and everythin! It would have been a huge hit in 1999, probably around as big as Stop.

 

That rnb one, you're right, is SO SO LIFELESS.

 

Darkchild made ONE good Spice Girls song. The rest are dull beyond belief. How did neither the band nor the record label notice this?! :drama:

If I can ask you, how do you know about the April's meeting?Or it is a supposition?

I'm not a huge fan, would be interested to hear a studio version of this performance but it doesn't touch the classic Spice songs, and actually Holler is much better than this anyway.

Let's celebrate another day that the aural turd WOMAN isn't unleashed upon the unsuspecting masses x
