It just seemed like things might be different this time. The recent stance from Melanie C was “five or nothing”, and then finally the five of them met up (along with their manager), posted pictures on social media, which obviously created excitement.

It’s not only about what the fans want/hope for, but also what the public at large would expect... which is most definitely music/touring. After all, they’re a group of women who became famous as popstars. For most people, that’s the whole point of them being together, and what they’d want to see.

The reason why I’m feeling annoyed by this, is because of the way they’re playing games (deliberately or inadvertently, depending on the member) which is stringing the fans along. This has been the case for years; let’s not forget the run up to their 20th anniversary. The girls surely can’t be that naive that they wouldn’t know exactly how a 5 piece reunion picture would make people react. I wouldn’t say it’s about fans having expectations that are too high, more so the Spice Girls semi-regularly providing false hope, leading us to feel that something could potentially happen, someday.

A month on from the picture, we have Mel B teasing possibilities, while Melanie C and Victoria are putting a dampener on things, i.e. same old, same old. It’s really tiresome!

I couldn't agree more. I have it on good authority that something will happen, but if it turns out to be a dissapointment, then they were better off leaving it alone. A world tour may have never been on the cards and that is fine, but a handful of concerts / TV special with them performing / new music is what people want fom them and they must surely be well aware of that. Anything else that comes along those things (merchandising, H&M clothing line, record label, talent TV show) will be welcome as a bonus, but if they are not willing to put any effort into the comeback of the biggest girl band the world have ever seen, then they should just stick to their solo projects. All this talk about the legacy and they will be the first to ruin it by half arsing anything group related. I just can't get over the fact they seem to be the ONLY group in the history of pop that can't make a reunion happen. This is why I routed for GEM, because they all wanted to be popstars again and were willing to record new music and go on the road. Problem is, they came up with tacky ideas and couldn't organize shit. Being a Spice Girls fan is sooo tiring, I don't blame the many who have given up on them by now.

Where do you have it on good authority from?

The problem is Victoria obviously. The other 4 evidently would do a tour etc and give the fans what they know they want but Vic doesn't want to do that. The problem then comes they wont do it as 4 so this reunion will be catered around what Vic will do which I'm sure wont be what the fans or general public want.

One of the girls but it was straight after the reunion, so I have no idea whether things have changed since then.

They should go for it and do it without Vicky already they did it once without Geri and the whole 5 or nothing is kinda boring now we'll always love Victoria but the fans want to see the other girls too so I hope they do it as 4 and get on with it ..

Agreed .

It would not bother me at all if POSH didn’t take part . I found the cheers for her during the last tour confusing enough .

I’d much rather the four of them tour rather than crappy side projects .

really dont care for Victoria anymore, I was willing to forgive and forget when SHE was the one to post the picture first, but im deleting Out of your Mind and This Groove out of my iTunes.

She's ruined it all yet again.

Has it been ruined AGAIN??

They should just do the four of them then.

The press destroyed her singing confidence, plus she now has a fashion empire.

That's ok.

They did it as a four piece without Geri, and I prefer Holler and their four piece shenanigans to when Geri was in it anyway! Never liked Geri.

its all about Mel B and Emma, they are the main ones and the only ones who actually adore SPICEWORLD© and are always down for a reunion
Has it been ruined AGAIN??

SHE is the reason that the Return of the Spice Girls ended when it did

SHE insulted MILLIONS of fans by saying that she didn't enjoy performing on that tour after people had spent hundreds of dollars to see them, selfish and ungreatful.

Posh has slid down in my estimations too. It's fine if she doesn't want to take part. I respect that.

But to say she doesn't want the others to perform their songs... She's swelling out in the wrong direction.

I just wish Melanie C would see that Posh is acting like a baby.

Yeah completely agree - Melivn C was down for a 4 piece reunion from 2012 until 2015!

“We signed to Simon Fuller, the original Spice Girls manager ... we signed to him a few months ago,” Brown explained.

Pressed further about whether the group might relive the experience of their heyday at the upcoming wedding, Brown simply responded, “We will be doing stuff this year together, yes.”

(There's also a video included the above link)

I think Mel B will keep talking it up for the exposure.

I'm ignoring her now, to save my poor broken heart

I would greatly welcome a tour that they all perform 3 of the solo hits and then close out the show with some Spice Girls classics.

This would be so great for the fans of the solo material on a large scale tour.

I'm ignoring her now, to save my poor broken heart

me too

 I’m following your approach, trying to just ignore it all now until something hopefully gets announced. (Yet still reading everything lol)
