I'll take the supposed Mel B quote with a pinch of salt... but it's interesting that Mel B & Geri were pictured at Alva West Studios, and also curious that Octopus Direct Limited has been "dissolved via compulsory strike-off".

So what I got from this article is:

-the girls have been papped on Friday going into a studio where they had apparently photo shoots and recorded video for a announcement

- Simon Fuller is not involved instead they signed with Modest! (1D,Little Mix,Olly Murs,Niall Horan)

-it’s apparently a UK tour + some European dates.

-Octopus Ltd. the girls company is getting dissolved on the 16th paving the way for a company without Victoria.

Also there is a locked twitter account and private instagram account with the SpiceGirls handle

Things might be announced soon now.

I hope they just go for it as a 4 piece.

They have nothing to lose and if 4 of them wish to do it why not?

Waiting for Victoria to change her mind must be draining.

I just hope it remains civil.

I read on twitter the studio they went to is a big studio fully set up to record and film stuff which is exciting.

I'm sure we are really close to an announcement. The Twitter handle being taken for a new account probably means the successful and well run spice girls net that was shut down recently was done my the girls management.

Victoria discusses reunion rumours, to Vogue Australia:

Victoria also revealed talk of a reunion had completely taken on a life of its own – which reminded her of how ‘awful’ that side of the industry could be. Discussing those persistent tour rumours – and accusations she is to blame for the lack of a reunion – she vowed this isn’t the case. ‘Every day someone says: “Are you going on tour? You’re the one who’s stopping it.” For me, there was always something else I wanted to do,’ she continued. ‘I had a lunch with the Spice Girls a few months ago to see how everybody was, things spiralled out of control, and I had my lawyer trying to beat down stories that were completely ludicrous. ‘It was a reminder of how awful that was.’

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Only two of the girls were papped though (the most attention seeking ones ironically  ). No evidence whatsoever of Emma or Melanie C being there.

I think you answered your own question I'm sure Mel b and Geri wanted to be papped.

So we are back to Mel B Vs Victoria again :o

Unfortunately yes :( i hope almost for a 4 piece reunion at this point...i'll be however happy a lot...

maybe with some new music since there would be no Victoria…hoping that she won't sue the other girls as the rumors said...

I doubt many will care.... Westlife are bigger...!

No Westlife trolls in my Spice Girls forum please.

I don't see how she could sue them she doesn't own the rights to the Spice Girls name.

I am pretty sure she'd never go down that road anyway.

These two points stood out to me:

Modest Management — the brains behind the success of ONE DIRECTION and LITTLE MIX — are currently working on the exact rollout of the Spice comeback. But the group’s original manager Simon Fuller, who continues to look after the careers of the Beckhams, remains a partner and is deeply involved.
However, the Spice Girls — famed for legendary Nineties pop hits including Wannabe, 2 Become 1 and Stop — are determined to relaunch in a surprising way, avoiding the usual talk show circuit.

Interesting that Simon may still be involved in some capacity even if he's not managing them... and I'm intrigued by what their plans for their relaunch would consist of.

Hurry up, ladies!
