“We talked about doing other stuff,” she says excitedly. “I personally would love to get a move on. I just think our show is ready so I want to give them a kick up the bum and say, ‘Come on, let’s do this’. But we’ve got kids at school and we’d love them to come, so we just have to make sure it’s right for everyone.”

It is obvious and from reports that Geri doesn’t want to tour for the foreseeable future, which has obviously annoyed Mel B who even announced an Australian tour at Wembley!

If I was Mel b I'd be absolutely pissed. Geri has suddenly decided she wants to be lady of the manor, wearing white, wanting to be a writer. When just 3 years ago Geri was so desperate for a reunion she was willing to do it as a 3 piece.

 

To make it worse they finally bit the bullet and did a reunion as a 4 piece without Victoria and it was ridiculously successful. The world is at their feet embracing a 4 piece Spice Girls and Geri is throwing it away.

I suspect Geri still holds a grudge against her for openly talking about what happened between them on Piers Morgan and if you ask me rightly so it was pretty below the belt to blurt that out the way she did and right before tour rehearsals aswell.

 

Geri may irritate with her new lifestyle and image change but she would never have done that to Mel not even during her solo heyday of PR stunts.

Implying and openly saying are two very different things though.

'Implying' is not the same as confirming. Listen, I think there is obviously some bad blood between them, and I also have no time for the current version of Geri.

 

BUT if there is anyone in the wrong about saying it to the press, it is Mel. For various reasons:

 

1. Consent. Mel has admited that she did not seek consent from Geri beforehand. She simply said it and let it happen. She could have asked the production team to cut that bit. She didnt and she has admited that it caused friction. Consent is really important, and Mel B needs to remember that. One person's sex life isn't anyone else's business unless that person is ok with the world knowing. Mel knew she was in the wrong, and she admits it. Doesnt make it right.

 

For all we know, they might have made amends about it, but the friction is probably still there and they had an argument about whatever recently, which led to this.

 

2. Mel B said to Piers Morgan, the most disgusting, sexist and racist TV host in the UK. This is a man who is friends with Trump, $l*t shames Little Mix and Rihanna and has consistently demonised the Spice Girls as a group. OF COURSE he was going to make a big deal out of it.

 

Mel B might portray herself as 'brutally honest' but that doesnt mean she should be disrespectful to other people's own stories. That is what she is doing at the moment.

 

To be honest, when she said it, it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Together with the constant lies about the plans for the future of the group, it just looks bad as f***. She is constantly saying stuff just to get attention/noticed. Which leads to people being dissapointed.

And her comments on Theresa May and Brexit were horrible, just like they were in the 90s when she supported Thatcher. But that doesnt mean Mel B should be a dick about this. Me too. She is an absolute joke. Hate her. She always was the worst, most vacuous Spice.

I will add I dont think this has anything to do with Mel B's revelation. They spent a couple of nights together (geri and mel b) after the tour. I'm almost certain Mel b has had enough pandering to the 'new' Geri.

 

I bet when Geri said she didn't want to carry on the other 3 agreed to give her some space and let her breathe and miss it. Here we are 6 months later and if Geri is still declining big offers for them then Mel B has probably snapped and given up massaging Geri's ego in hope she changes her mind.
