I completely agree, they need to get more stuff online to stream and watch it can only help their legacy. Istanbul, Wembley 98 and Christmas in Spiceworld should all be uploaded to youtube song by song.

 

The Tesco commercials should be on their YouTube too, I'm sure Tesco would love that free extra advertising.

 

Step to me should be on all streaming platforms, My strongest suit should be on their Spotify etc too. The Sugar lumps version of WDYTYA video should be on youtube. The montage video of IYWHSF should be on youtube.

 

These sorts of things would please the fans so much and only help with their legacy, oh and their 97 Brits performance should be on their YouTube too.

 

I noticed the royal mint are producing a series of coins for legendary artists starting with Queen, I'd love if the Spice Girls were one of the coins to be released.

Maybe they dont have the rights to upload the 1999 tour footage seeing as it was only shown on TV and not released commercially on video like Istanbul and Wembley?

 

An Audience with the Spice girls could have the same problem and I'm sure everyone would love that in HQ.

Wembley 1998 was broadcast on Sky box office live and Istanbul still gets played on TV these days (it was on tv in Australia this month).

So much has already happened in Spiceworld.

These pics, followed by rumours and confirmation

that there wouldn’t be a tour. Then the four

announcing a stadium tour, the tour itself, promo,

Merch and it’s already been 8 months since the tour

ended

Wasnt Victoria up for doing a tour at that get together but then pulled out.

 

I'm kind of glad it happened the way it happened as the others now know they can do things without her successfully. At that point they probably thought anything less than five would've been a flop.

I still think another album would do well for them as a four piece tbh. It’d definitely be a #1 album and pass platinum status eventually.

 

Having said that though I can see there being a few more reunions, one off performances for big events / anniversary but I don’t think we ever will get another full album from them as a group.

They need to get over the sales issue and understand that albums nowadays dont sell. Hell, the biggest album last year was Ariana's and that *only* sold 300k in the UK, which would be considered a FLOP on previous decades (it just about goes over Forever's sales) but nowadays is a super success.

 

The only thing that they might be even more scared about is not reaching the Top5 but I think they would be fine with a Top2 again album wise! They just need to get on and tour properly this time.

 

As one of the most touring-viable acts in the world, their tours have always been short considering their appeal. Spiceworld 1998 tour was only America/Europe when it should have gone to other places in the world. Christmas tour was only UK as well as 2019's. The Return was cut short and only did North America/Europe again.

 

Either some of them are scared of THE REST OF THE WORLD or they need to get their shit together! I blame Brexit Ginger tbh

Chris confirmed on Spice Circle this meeting was to sign on to all do the annimated movie, which is still the case now. What happened after is offers came flying in for tours etc which Victoria was declining and eventually when the offer to do Wembley came in Mel C finally agreed to do it without her. Wembley then turned into 13 stadiums to make it more worthwhile.

 

The movie is still in the works and all 5 are still signed on to do it, Simon and 19 are sorting all the movie stuff hence why Victoria is happy to be involved.

Victoria is not willing to sing or perform anymore so she basically thinks after 20+ years, the movie is gonna sell itself easily just like that? lol

It's so frustrating to be a Spice Girls fan... Im kind of done after seeing them 3 times this summer. Maybe that's enough as they clearly arent coming back properly like they were preparing to this time last year... ah well...

 

Don't get me wrong, I would be there in an instant if they came back. But I feel like this time they really had someting special going on that could lead for them to be an active band again. All of them seemed to be loving it, there was the Netflix special, international dates prepared. Even Mel C was raving about being back in the band and has been clear about wanting to carry on. The general public seemed to be TOTALLY with them this time, which was probably a first for them since 1996.

 

And then, out of the blue, everything gets shelved again, right at the moment where they were back on top.

 

It's frustrating to be honest and Ive had quite enough of it...

Any more news about the movie? Looks like Paramount is doing really well with Sonic right now, the fans are really happy about it.

Wheels do seem to be in motion again but it is the Spice Girls so until it is officially announced nothing is set in stone or could all fall through again.
