The new tour you mean? They can adap it and still use the same name, it's pretty much the same show I think. Their record could be broken, this is a chance to officially make it to 100+ million since we don't actually have the official number of SW98.

It isn't going to be extending SW19 it will be adapted. The Australia announcement from April that never happened has turned into a world tour with more countries.

It is all very much decided where and when, that the show will be adapted. They sign next month provided one doesn't get cold feet again like Geri did in 2019.

Huh, do you know something??

I personally just cannot see anybody announcing anything right now I mean the world could be going back into Lockdown at any moment really...
According to someone on the Spice Girls Popjustice forum, the girls are trying to book a stadium in Brazil for next year and seems to be pretty confident that there’ll be another tour

Don’t forget Europe girls :cheer:

Quit playing games with my heart Sammy.
I don't want to get my hopes up but would you tell me where? I need to plan stuff, it's fine if you don't want to though, I can wait. And looks like it's not small is it? Please tell them to extend the tour, use the same name, it would really feel like they come to unite us all and of course for record's sake.

Let's bookmark this post for November.

Covid-19 will be in full power this Winter. No one will announce a tour this year.

I have no idea if they will keep the same name or how adapted the show will be, that stuff they can keep very secret. Booking stadiums on the other hand is tough to keep secret.

Australia, London, Asia. US, South America being considered if they can find the right price/stadium.

As for this time it was Mel C that needed convincing but she seems fully back on board, Geri changed back her mind a while ago. Mel C I think wants to make sure her solo record still gets time to shine but the offers are big and she knows it will give her chance to maybe even promote or do a few shows solo in different places. I'd not be surprised if she squeezes in some solo shows whilst in Australia, Asia.

It seems very confident of them to book venues across the world during these precarious times! :o

Coronavirus will be a footnote by Christmas, most European countries are in single figure deaths a day now, Australia and NZ are totally on top of it too. It is just a matter if time before everywhere is the same, our government has handled it awfully but we are still very much going in the right direction.

November is still 5 months off, just think where we were 2 months ago to now.

I hope so. Unfortunately we don't know yet if there'll be a second wave, if the virus will mutate, how it'll behave during the winter climate. It's new and unpredictable, so I don't think we can definitively say that everything will be fine in November (hopefully that will be the case, of course).

I suppose the entertainment industry has to have faith in being able to book future events and not hold things off indefinitely; no doubt insurance plans will have been worked out, should the worst happen (such as postponement). So I suppose the preparatory work is being put in now, with the hope that summer 2021(?) is a more normal world. In terms of announcing something later this year, it's a bit of a gamble. Will the public have faith by the end of this year that purchasing tickets for an event where they'll be in such close proximity to other people is a wise thing to do?

The UK will probably get the vaccine first early next year. They're on human trial phase now. Asia was the first to face the virus and took it seriously, businesses are already back up and running again in my country with the new normal of course but it's still a risk indeed to gather a lot of people. The US and South America would be the last to get out of it. To be a hundred percent sure for now, yes we still need a vaccine. We still have time though, hopefully the tour can happen.
I also think the whole thing is a massive gamble with the Corona virus pandemic but I hope it works out for them. I'll be getting insurance on my tickets if I buy any.
The tour will be insured obviously and anything can happen but we are talking a year away. If the industries waits they could lose another year of revenue.
