Great news guys! Let's hope it happens indeed!

I am struggling with believing that November will be a good time to announce anything. The world is provisioned to be going into a massive recession worst than in 2008, as well as a new wave of infections/death of Covid19 later in the year due to the winter months. So the odds are a bit against them BUT that doesnt mean that it wont be possible!

I would assume, to be on the safe side, that they would be looking into touring late Summer/Autumn in 2021! Let's hope so!

There is no sign of a 2nd wave so far and China have had this for 7 months now. We will get localised outbreaks from here on out is my guess.

The world is in recession but they way out of it is things like tours, businesses up and running. Think of all the jobs, revenue this tour would create. The food stands, the merch etc it all gives people and companies a chance to work and earn money.

Lol if only that was true/or at least that simple lol

Of course it is true. Everything has a knock on for pumping money and jobs into the economy. Just think about how much goes into a tour like this, so many people and businesses getting work and money. Even down to the people supplying the ink and materials for merch or catering for the tour crew or the local businesses who get a boost.

Sunderland council put up £50,000 to lure the girls to play there last year as it earned Sunderland £4m to its economy through people eating at restaurants, booking hotels, using local shops.

I love how optimistic you are, however I think a lot of people will probably be quite sceptical - not about gigs boosting the economy (that's obvious), but about whether or not gigs/concerts are going to be possible in the same way for a very long time.

I'm assuming sport will be back with crowds before summer 2021 gigs so a lot of peoples fears will be put to rest. Aren't they already playing Aussie rules football in front of crowds now?

An aside: with some encouragement from Sammy, I bought the Spiceworld logo t shirt  https://store.thespicegirls.com/collections...matrix-logo-tee I was mainly hesitant because of the expenditure, but it's one of my favourite images, so I thought I'd treat myself. It's something I'll wear at home (or at a Spice Girls concert? *.* ) rather than out and about. I know I shouldn't care what people think of what I'm wearing (if they even care at all), but unfortunately I'm self conscious like that.

You go Jay, you gonna look so fetch in it.

Those of you thinking November is too soon, there is every likelihood the announcement might come as early as September. There are so many artists booked in for tours in 2021 and they are all lined up to get their tickets out to avoid the competition.

It all depends on if we keep continuing to get the better of coronavirus, the beginning of September is being touted as when a lot of things will restart such parkruns and outdoor events.

That's only two months from now. How this is gonna work? I understand the touring business is eager to get back asap, the pandemic has affected tons of its people worldwide but this is a huge gamble. We wouldn't want to hear the Spice Girls tour causes the new clusters and the second wave, would we? Also, in Asia I'm pretty sure they'll play indoor arenas. All concerts have been rescheduled to next year, that's the plan for the whole industry I believe, but we can't be so sure it's gonna happen. Anyway, I hope eveything goes well for them.

There are a lot of artists lined up with dates ready to put them on sale it is just about timing now. There is already loads of rescheduled dates next year too. It will be a bit of a dog fight for your coin with so much competition that is why getting in early is important.

It's important for money, Sammy. I really don't want them to look bad and only care about money when people are still dying. To be honest, if you're announing the tour during uncertain time it will look ignorant, reckless, careless and greedy. I mean I don't want them to be the first to do it this time. Don't rush that's all I say. They already got bad reputation about being greedy, don't forget. This tour is supposed to be helping people, uniting, positivity and bringing joy and hope for us. You're right timing is very important but I hope they take everything into account, not just the money, before making the decision.
It isn't like loads of things aren't already planned for 2021, Glastonbury etc are all scheduled and have dates for next year.
Are you saying the girls will play Glasto? Everything is planned of course because we have to be ready right away when this virus is over. I am quite positive that the Brits will be alright by then, you will get the vaccine, Glasto could happen. Just be careful about the timing of the world tour announcement that's all I hope.

Oh that was no hint at Glasto just huge events are already scheduled for 2021. The Olympics and Euros football are scheduled for next year too.
Lady Gaga has rearranged her stadium tour dates for summer 2021, which she announced a couple of days ago. Ellie Goulding announced her May 2021 tour this morning. By September I'm sure the touring market will be crowded already.
Here hoping everything will go well.

I hope Asia means including Japan.

they debuted in here, but never did a concert.

They just did mini showcase live for insider.(AND IT FILMED!)

When they released Greatest Hits earlier than UK on 2007,

EMI Japan (now Universal) did small release event ,Archive

it was short edited but they showed it!

hope this will release someday too.

It's been a while since I've logged in here.

From my winter hiberation, I think a good tour schedule for Australia would be:

Sydney and Melbourne having at least 2 concerts each, and Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide having at least 1 concert each.

New Zealand fans may want to travel over.

I would think Down Under would be more likely toured some time between: September - November 2021, or January - April 2022.

And any Northern Hemisphere locations would be toured earlier in 2021, during their spring and or summer. And it may not clash with the rescheduled Tokyo Summer Olympics (July 23 - August 8, 2021).

(All depending on the COVID-19 situation.)

I had a look at some past Australian (leg) tour schedules by other famous foreign performers including: Katy Perry, Pink, Ed Sheeran, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift.

In Australia, the Spice Girls first two albums went platinum 6 times, and until recent years, they were the highest selling female group with a total of 16 ARIA certifications.

For any fans who tried to buy a ticket to last year's UK/Ireland Tour, did you have any problems with ticketing websites, such as Ticketmaster?
