In their last newsletter they announced that we weren't getting any 'demos or unreleased songs for Forever25 and we will simply get this shitty vinyl but don't worry because Christmas is around the corner'

Well... Girls Aloud have been flopping with their anniversary releases BUT they just announced a special stand alone Christmas release of their Christmas edition of their Chemestry album on CD and Vinyl with unreleased mixes and unseen pictures...

Let's see what our girls have 'around the corner for Christmas' for us as they promised 🤭

I’m hoping there is no Forever 25 because they are saving the best outtakes for an anthology or new greatest hits release next summer. Fingers crossed especially if the rule of 4 now exists for future releases and projects.

Well, there said Xmas is around the corner so I hope it’s this Xmas instead

Anyone has access to the The Sun’s latest ariticle? It talked about the current power struggle within the band.

It's a bit of a hit on Geri to be honest... they have been really hammering it in on her lately

hmm whos been feeding them, though. like its coming somewhere internally.

the first episode certainly bashed the girls alot instead of celebrating them!!

I watched the first episode and yeah Mel Blatt and the girl from Eternal weren't particularly nice about them but they sounded more bitter than anything because, as they said, they had been working for years and the suddenly the Spice Girls came out of nowhere to astonishing success...

Mel Blatt comes across a bit stupid when she pretends not to know that Wannabe is called Wannabe lol that was so obviously a lie, even the way she was corrected was too obvious. And yes, the documentary does focus on the fact that the Spice Girls were very marketing-PR driven, and it seems to put a focus on how All Saints, Sugababes and Eternal were cool.

To be honest with you all, I don't necessarily think that is a completely wrong framing of the history of the Spice Girls. Yes, tehy could ahve been more complimentary towards the music and the fact that they did open doors for many of the girlbands that came in (and specially how All Saints all of a sudden had a chance of success).

But it made me think of how that impact in the industry might have pissed off a few of the other girlbands who had been at it for years and all of a sudden were being eclipsed by a pop group in such a rappid and overshaddowing way... I can understand that, specially from Eternal's perspective.

When it comes to Mel Blatt, I think she came across as stupid because really the 'big break' she had wanted and what she then went on to achieve from 1998 onwards was very much a consequence of the Spice Girls opening those doors.

The documentary overall is bad... They barely talk about the music and achievements, just the drama. Girls Aloud are completely omitted from it, not even a single picture is shown lol... the main 'achivement' that is celebrated is Little Mix winning Best Group at The Brit Awards...

Girlbands like The Spice Girls, All Saints, Sugababes, Girls Aloud... they changed the culture, not just topped the charts and bickered. The music was as transformative as their success. All of them did something musically that moved pop and r'n'b music forward, and that is not even ONCE acknowledged in these documentaries...

It's pretty pointless, all of it...

I wouldn't call it flopping, they are doing exactly what is needed from a re-release on vinyl.

But yeah, Girls Aloud give us fans way more than Spice Girls for sure, but then they did in their career too as they actually stuck together for 7 years without a break.

With David Beckham having now received a knighthood, Victoria Beckham will now be officially known as Lady Beckham.

As an anti-monarchy, I think that is a really disgusting turn of events, actually...

I hate how much they lick the monarchy's ass...
