Well Forever vinyl is supposedly in the works for a release later in the year we know that... Glad to hear talks are still occurring in the background.

 

Melanie C and Emma being the ones talking out about it makes me feel pretty confident something will come out of it and neither of them tease generally, they only say things when something is actually happening.

I'm just happy she seems to have Geri on board, it was Geri who shut down the Australian tour dates.

I'll take anything but yeah all 4 on vinyls and limited edition cassettes would be nice.

International shows are the most exciting for me even though I wouldn’t be at them but we’d get more interviews hopefully and to have that buzz in other countries again would be exciting.

I really hope they do more interviews as a group, whatever they decide to do. It's beyond weird that they didnt give any interviews as a group throughout 2020. What a mess!! They could have easily done some TV and radio interviews during the tour or leading up to it. So strange cos I bet most press would be gagging for an interview with them...

Hopefully when they do the next shows all four will be in a good place.

 

It's clear that Mel B cast a cloud over last years tour for Geri.

From what I heard too it wasn't until after the tour that Mel B and Geri truly got back to normal terms as they were before the Jonathan Ross interview.

 

I wonder if Geri's decision to pull the plug on Australia was to get space from Mel B and the situation. From what I'm told they are all back to 2018 early 2019 now where the 4 were the closest they had been since their heyday. That and coronavirus maybe changing her outlook im sure is what has changed Geri's mind again.

Mel B should never have said anything really the girls have always kept each others secrets... however Geri has said in the past that she once had a lesbian experience with a famous lady... clearly it was Mel B... so she doesn't really have much ground to be overall upset by it and the affect it has on her image. :huh:

I love Mel B and I think she gets too much shit from people overall, mostly because people have an issue with how loud and unfront - in her words, honest lol - about everything. It's part of her charm, for me! Sometimes it lands her in hot water (remember when she said the girls had been invited to the royal wedding and even described the invitations, but it turned out to be a lie?! LOL)..

 

Having said that, she shouldn't have said it without asking Geri first, which she admited. That's an outing that is quite disrespectful tbh. As a gay man, I respect people's choice to keep things to themselves. Whilst Geri had previously said that she had had a lesbian fling, she didnt say it ws Mel B, as that would have been really disrespectful. Mel just literally said that she had had sex with Geri. There was no hiding of who it might have been. And it was clear that she didnt ask Geri first.

 

Mel f***ed up tbh. I would probably be pissed off as well. Specially as it is clear that Geri isn't a shamed about it, she is just upset that it was made into a scandal, specially when she is now a different person, more reserved, than she used to be. And rightly so. Mel B could have also asked for that not to be aired - but I guess that would go against her 'Im so honest' vibe lol

 

I don't think that is what messed up the continuing of the tour, personally. I think that was just Geri not being up for it as it would have meant months of work and a lot of time away from her family. How old is Monty now? Maybe she wanted to be with him until he goes properly to school?

 

It's annoying but understandable.

It really wasn't months away, it was 3 weeks in Australia. It was stadiums and it was the same show. It really wasn't that much of a commitment. Geri flies all over the world following Christian's F1 team.

You don't know that. 3 weeks of shows, but there's pre-production to be done, even when you remount the same show after a period of rest. There's a lot of work that needs to be done and she clearly had other priorities and didnt want to spend those months focusing on a tour.

 

Yes she travels with Christian for the F1 Team stuff but that is just a couple of days here and there. It's different and you know it is.

Not that I should try and understand how Piers' mind works, but I wonder what made him think of even asking that question? It was so incredibly invasive, it put Mel on the spot and it was extra disrespectful of him to ask it when Geri wasn't there. Even if Mel had said 'no comment' or outright said it wasn't true, Piers raising it in the first place would have put the subject in people's minds and it would have been a source of gossip regardless of Mel's answer. Of course Mel's answer made it extra explosive for the tabloids etc, but I don't think there was any good way out of that situation for Mel once the question had been asked.

She obviously didnt say it was a lie nor that she hated Mel B, instead her statement directly criticised exactly what you are complaining about: the intrusion and the scandal that teh press made of it.
