Looks very intense!! I jumped about three times just from watching the trailer so I'm not sure I have the guts to actually go and see this in the end though :heehee:

Isn't this a silent horror movie? I'm really intrigued by that premise so I'm avoiding trailers, but hopefully it's good!

A Quiet Place is an upcoming American supernatural horror film which centers around a family living on a farm who hide from a supernatural evil attracted to sound by avoiding making sound and communicating in sign language.

Trailer is creepy as all hell. Really looking forward to it!

Really excited to finally see Bluntinski in a movie together.

A new TV spot from the Super Bowl. Still excited to see this as it looks like a really interesting premise - a bit nervous though because I feel like it might have me awake for days

This looks SO good, I think this is gonna be one of the big breakouts of 2018.

I saw the trailer for this in the cinema this week and it looks frightening on the big screen, I was scared as f*** 😂

My local Odeon showing this on Monday, thats bank holiday sorted
I almost spilled my popcorn in the cinema the trailer was so scary *.* but this looks EXCELLENT, seeing it on Monday definitely!
It was cute. It felt really short.
It was cute. It felt really short.

This would be my only complaint. I get what they were trying to do but the ending felt quite inconclusive for me.

I really enjoyed this, however I do think 'Don't Breathe' did it better really. However it was very entertaining and gripping, felt like a proper blockbuster horror.

Only complaints are it felt a bit too slow at the beginning, it was a bit too short and they could have done more with it and the ending was just a bit too perfect.

I really enjoyed this, too. I was gripped throughout. However, as Jack said I think there was a part near the beginning that felt a bit slow, but it wasn't off putting or anything for me.

Really reminded me of 10 Cloverfield Lane mixed with Don't Breathe and I love the concept of having to be quiet. It helps that the threat was actually pretty grim too!

8.5 out of 10 for me :D

Edit: Oh and the cast were great! Noah Jupe has got a great career ahead of him! He was my fave in Wonder and was up there in this!

I enjoyed it 6/10, good main two leads of course, and well-made, as long as you don't think too much about the premise.

The ending was arbitrary, like an invite to a sequel:

- no dead body

- no confirmation they survived

- no indications how worldwide survivors

- no indications where they came from, nor an explanation about them being "blind". That's just nonsense or else the speed they move they would just keep banging into trees, walls, bridges, falling off cliffs etc etc etc Clearly they must have sonar, being creatures of sound, so that means a picture of the world better than that of bats - who "see" the world very well and spot any movement

- why were they just indiscriminately killing anything that moved - not shown once that it was for food

- if they are aliens (pretty much must be, unless man has suddenly developed the power to create new species that spread like wildfire and are Alien-tough, able to bash through thick steel containers) how did they get here? Technology?

I realise it's difficult to squeeze all the answers into a short tense film, but a couple of "newspaper headlines" along with the ones they had would have helped...

I'm looking forward to seeing this. I didn't realise Noah Jupe was the real life son of Julie from Coronation Street until I read it earlier though :o
