Reggie Yates shouldn't have even had the option of standing down, he should have been sacked last week. Reading between the lines he probably was sacked but the BBC probably let him say he was standing down to save face.

It might be a little too late to replace Reggie, aren't the programmes being recorded next week?

I really don't think Sounds Like Friday Night will be recommissioned, based on how badly it is rating.

Anyway those who want Reggie gone got their wish

I thought the edition from last Friday was decent but that first episode was so bad it probably put enough people off from the start.

Should have gone straight away from that comment and from the BBC.

Guessing it would be Fearne on her own?

I think Reggie has just signed his own exit papers from the BBC. I'm guessing Fearne alone but the BBC should have gone for someone a bit more relevant (i.e. from Radio 1) anyway in the first place. We've had the same two presenters for years and they just seem out of place now. Well, now it's just the one presenter unless a stand-in can be drafted in at the last moment.

They responded very quickly to criticism of the first show. As a result, the rest of the series has been a lot better. If they get enough positive feedback from the audience they might be prepared to give it another go. I certainly hope so; if not, it could be a long time before they try again.

Yeh hopefully - even the set up and the studio look very modern and well presented which is a big thing for me!

I'm assuming the Christmas number 1 will also be shown?
Sounded like it already had been recommissioned at the end of last episode.

Yes, it has been. They've been extremely lucky to get a second chance, and I'm glad! They won't keep bringing it back if it stays below 2 million though.

Only Stormzy, James Arthur and the no1 will have a chance of a sales boost from these performances although the others could sell well in the sounds of 2017 lists!
