December 17, 20177 yr Author Top 40 Albums Of The Year 2017 // 30-26 30. Miley Cyrus – Younger Now Album Chart Run: Younger Now [5-7-9-10-11-14-14] (7 Weeks) Singles Chart History Single 1: Malibu [28-18-7-4-4-6-9-14-21-32] (10 Weeks) Single 2: Younger Now [39-37-31-23-17-12-19-32] (7 Weeks) I Say: "After hearing Malibu I was surprised we now have the "old" Miley back aka the one that wasn't being outlandish during her Bangerz era. Malibu perfectly set the tone for the album and era. It is very sweet and light. I think the sound suits her so well and that although it isn't my favourite album of hers (which would probs be her Breakout album for me anyway) it does have some beautiful tracks on it". Top 5 songs from album 1. Malibu 2. Thinkin' 3. Younger Now 4. Bad Mood 5. Inspired 29. Declan McKenna – What Do You Think About the Car? Album Chart Run: What Do You Think About The Car? His debut album was surprisingly very good. He feels like an artist I should really like too . I now seem as a album artist due to the singles not doing as well as the album did oops". Top 5 songs from album 1. Humongous 2. Make Me Your Queen 3. Brazil 4. Why Do You Feel So Down? 5. Bethlehem 28. You Me At Six – Night People Album Chart Run: Night People [1-2-2-2-3-6-9-10-11-13-14-15-15] (17 Weeks) Singles Chart History Single 1: Night People [18-11-6-7-11-15-24-30] (8 Weeks) Single 2: Swear [34-28-24-24-20-32] (6 Weeks) Single 3: Take On The World [37-33-27-26-25-19-31] (7 Weeks) I Say: "One of my favorite bands released this year, You Me At Six released their 5th album in early 2017. Despite a huge chart run for the album, it wasn't as good as most of their albums imo. It didn't help it was released during a period where there were not many albums out so that explains the long albm. However it did have some great album tracks and I can't fault it for being cohesive. I just wanted more from the tracks". Top 5 songs from album 1. Night People 2. Take On The World 3. Make Your Move 4. Swear 5. Give 27. Calvin Harris – Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1 Album Chart Run: Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1 [3-5-8-13-15-15-14] (7 Weeks) Singles Chart History Single 1: Slide featuring Frank Ocean & Migos [35-27-19-14-13-16-24-36] (8 Weeks) Single 2: Heatstroke featuring Young Thug, Pharrell Williams & Ariana Grande [25-20-15-7-5-7-9-13-20-32] (10 Weeks) Single 3: Feels featuring Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean [34-24-12-4-1-1-2-2-2-4-6-9-11-15-23-35] (16 Weeks) Single 4: Faking It featuring Kehlani & Lil Yachty [31-23-17-14] (4 Weeks)* * = Still in chart I Say: "Highly likely to be my favorite DJ, Calvin Harris released his 5th studio album this year. An album that saw him change his sound up to a more urban dance sound. With highlights from Feels and Heatstroke, the album really didn't have that much filler and remained very cohesive. Not good enough to go top 20 though". Top 5 songs from album 1. Feels (Featuring Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean) 2. Heatstroke (Featuring Young Thug, Pharrell Williams & Ariana Grande) 3. Faking It (Featuring Kehlani & Lil Yachty) 4. Slide (Featuring Frank Ocean & Migos) 5. Cash Out (Featuring Schoolboy Q, PartyNextDoor and DRAM) 26. Kacy Hill - Like A Woman Album Chart Run: Like A Woman [2-2-2-4-6-10-12-14] (8 Weeks) Singles Chart History N/A I Say: "What a beautiful album this is, made by the stunning Kacy Hill. I heard Hard To Love ages ago and fell in love with the song and her. Her voice is insanely good and so is her album. It really has a range of slow songs and a more upbeat sort of feel to it too, both sounds go with her rich voice that literally puts you at ease". Top 5 songs from album 1. Hard To Love 2. Like A Woman 3. Arn's Length 4. Lion 5. First Time
December 17, 20177 yr Hi Harry, gah at how low all of the Miley, Declan and Calvin albums are :( I haven't been following weekly personal charts so much this year so I didn't realise you were such a big fan of Heatstroke :o I really wasn't keen on it when it was first released but it grew on me so much when I heard it more on the album itself. It's still one of the weaker moments on the album for me but that's only because there are so many highlights, I wish "Skrt On Me" had been pushed as a single!!
December 18, 20177 yr Hey Harry! Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1: My favourite album from him, always knew, he would improve! Also I agree with your favourite songs on his album! Night People: Meh album from a band who could have done better. What Do You Think About the Car?: Great album. Younger Now: I prefer new Miley over old Miley any day, but this was a meh album in my opinion.

The Vamps – Night & Day Album Chart Run: Night & Day [1-3-4-5-6-10-10-11-13] (9 Weeks) Singles Chart History Single 1: All Night (With Matoma) [28-20-7-8-13-19-30-39] (8 Weeks) Single 2: Middle Of The Night (Featuring Martin Jensen) [28-19-15-8-11-16-21-39] (8 Weeks) I Say: "Night and Day is the follow up to 2015's Wake Up and Boy does it improve. Their was some great tracks from last album don't get me wrong but it was more weak than strong. This however is more strong than weak. From the fantastic singles and too the great album tracks such as Shades On and It's A Lie makes it the second best Vamps album after their debut imo". Top 5 songs from album 1. All Night (With Matoma) 2. Middle Of The Night (Featuring Martin Jensen) 3. Shades On 4. Hands (Mike Perry featuring The Vamps and Sabrina Carpenter) 5. It's A Lie (Featuring TINI) 24. I actually like this album a lot. I mean its still 4th out of her albums but all four of her albums IMO has brought some great tracks to her discography from the politically charged "Chained To The Rhythm" to the sassy "Swish Swish". I am not going to lie this era hasn't been perfect or like her others but hey (hey hey) I do like some tracks from this solid album" Top 5 songs from album 1. Chained To The Rythm (Featring Skip Marley) 2. Swish Swish (Featuring Nicki Minaj) 3. Roulette 4. Hey Hey Hey 5. Save As Draft (This is gonna be a controversial opinion I can feel it) 23. However, this album is beautiful and is the music version of a hot summer day. "Heart Strings" NEEDS to be released :(". Top 5 songs from album 1. Ultralife 2. Heart Strings 3. My Friends 4. Heavy 5. High On Humans 22. I was a bit worried during hearing some of the album tracks on a radio show as some sounded just good on first listen but I have grown to stan the album tbh. Tracks like Dancing With Our Hands Tied, Getaway Car and I Did Something Bad are all superb. Could even become my second fave Taylor album maybe even still top from Red too". Top 5 songs from album 1. Look What You Made Me Do 2. Dancing With Our Hands Tied 3. ...Ready For it? 4. Getaway Car 5. I Did Something Bad 21. However, they redeemed themselves a lot. The Man is a track I should have loved more at the time because I full on adore it now *kicks self*" Top 5 songs from album 1. The Man 2. December 21, 20177 yr Witness: I liked this album. Favourites: Bon Appetit, Pendulum, Swish Swish Wonderful Wonderful is also good, with my favourite being The Man. ARTV put Run For Cover in his Top 50 Best Songs of 2017 countdown.
December 22, 20177 yr Hi Harry OMGMOGMOMGM save as draft as album highlight!!! I would say it's the worst song of her career but now she has stuff like Swish Swish, Miss You More & Into Me You See fighting for that title too  There are some brilliant pop songs on the album for sure and I do enjoy returning to it but it's so much worse than her other three albums that it's hard not to be disappointed with it. Long gone are the days of no filler with Teenage Dream  I think Reputation has become my second favourite Taylor album now (behind 1989 though instead) so I hope it can do so too for you in time. I wasn't keen on the second half of the album at first but it has really grown on me. I hope "I Did Something Bad" is a single in the future though because it goes OFF, I love the instrumental to it especially :music:  Loving this!! :cheer:
December 23, 20177 yr Save As Draft !!! Easily the worst "song" she has ever done. Reputation beating Witness yaass x

December 24, 20177 yr Run For Cover and The Man were both really strong singles from The Killers, both reached my Top 100!
December 25, 20177 yr "Night And Day": Good album from The Vamps! "Witness": Not a good album, although I like some songs on the album, I will never appreciate "Bon Appetit". "Ultralife": LOVE this album and this band! I listened to it a lot when I was in my summer holidays in Italy! "Reputation": Decent album, expected it to be worse, but it surprised me. "Wonderful Wonderful": Many great singles from this album, especially "The Man" and "Run For Cover"!
December 25, 20177 yr Author FLYNNONDA'S FRESH FINDS FOR 2018 06. Pale Waves http://www.coupdemainmagazine.com/sites/default/files/styles/large/public/artists/pale-waves.jpg Info: Hailing from Manchester Pale Waves are a four-piece indie pop band. They first broke out onto the scene with "There's A Honey". They remind me a lot of "The 1975", which two fun facts. They both come from Manchester and The 1975 produced There's A Honey. They are basically sound like a female-led version of that band BUT will at the same time stand out on their own. I can see them having a great year in 2018 and already doing so with a spot on the Sound of 2018. zfPZ6hukcw8 05. Kojo Funds Info: Dizzee Rascal, Kano, Lethal Bizzle, Wiley and now our #5 entry Kojo fund all have this in common. They all are from east London. From his agent's site, his sound is described as "His sound can be described as AfroSwing. He can go from Grime to R&B in a flash without breaking the listener's ear drums whilst doing so". So that is why I included him he appears to be quite a versatile urban artist that is why I am including him in my tips for 2018. NJetWqwVVfA
December 25, 20177 yr Nice to see Chained To The Rhythm, such an awesome video with a lot of "hidden" messages  Also very nice to see Look What You Made Me Do, awesome video, everything is good in that, the first time I watched the video I couldn't even say anything because of how impressed I was  Awesome Top2 too, New Rules is awesome and 1-800... is very touching I have to say that Save As Draft is one of my favourite songs on Witness (probably on the Top3 :w00t: )
December 26, 20177 yr There's a Honey was amazing! But then they went and released a second single that had the exact same chorus but different words and that kind of blew it :P New Year's Eve is nice though :D

For me the pure highlight was "I Only Lie When I Love You" which was such a aderline rush almost which such a catchy rock out chorus. The Whole album however is well thought out and still amazes me how it is just two guys in this rock band, like how ". Top 5 songs from album 1. I Only Lie When I Love You 2. Even after "Big For Your Boots", I was skeptical about if the album would be good like that single was or disappointed. Safe to say I was not disappointed. "Blinded By Your Grace PT 2" was a huge highlight from the album for its vulnerability and showing a different side to Stormzy was imo was very much needed after his previous singles. Although I didn't like cold the second single from the album was my least favourite oops". Top 5 songs from album 1. Blinded By Your Grace PT (Featuring MNEK) 2. Big For Your Boots 3. I was so eager to get new material from her as I just adore her. She came back with the amazing "What About Us" which was written about politticans and decision makers but does in it away it doesn't reflect that way in the song, she allowed the emotional club ballad to be whatever it is you want the song to mean. The whole album is full of powerful numbers and vocals. However whilst it may be her most coherent for me it doesn't have the highs that that last three have". Top 5 songs from album 1. I really do rate this album highly it just got knocked out of the album chart due to a strong album week that week :(. I have always rated his albums very highly so it should be no shock to see him here. The whole package comes across as very effortless and coherent.
