After a phenomenal year already, The Kooks release their next single 'Ooh La'. 'Ooh La', taken from The Kooks debut album 'Inside In/ Inside Out' which has now sold over one million copies in the UK alone, is a toe-tapping slice of indie pop, accentuated with shimmering guitar chords and a swaggering vocal performance by frontman Luke - HMV

UK Release date: 23-10-2006

track listing

1. Ooh La

2. Sofa Song [Alternative Version]

why would anybody want to buy this (apart from v obsessed peeps) when you can get the alb dirt cheap.

I think this is their best one so far.

I still HATE this band with a passion though. Totally generic, possibly THE most unoriginal band to surface in years and they just sound like everyone else out there.

I'm going to have to disagree, my fav was 'She moves in her own way', I think this one is bollocks compared.

When I got the album this was easily one of my least favourite tracks but since i've being hearing it on the radio and on the music channels my opinion has totally changed of the track. :o

I did like that until it got so overplayed. I still wouldn't say I really liked this one though.

I absolutely HATE 'Naive' aswell. :puke2:

'Ooh La,' is a decent track but I think there are better tracks on the album. The Kooks have a great album but after this single I think they should either move on to their next album or re-release some of their less known first few singles.
They're definately milking 'Inside In/Inside Out' for all it's worth now. 'Ooh La shouldn't be being released as a single. Not because it's a bad song (Although granted, it's not a particularly great song either), just because I don't think it's single material. Definately no more after this
To be honest I'm not quite sure the album had more single material than "You Don't Love Me", "Naive" or "She Moves In Her Own Way", this new single is a good track but a waste of space if you ask me. I can't see it being a sizeable hit as the three I mentioned before and they shouldn't have milked "Inside In/Inside Out" that much, considering "Eddie's Gun" and "Sofa Song" were released as well.

well that can be a problem. got totally fricken bored by razorlights america after about 3 plays  and since its taken over the tv and radio (well apart from smooth  ) its just starting to irretate me now

well obv you cant release 6 records off an album and expect them all to be big hits when you can get the main alb for like £6.99. most albs these days seem to have 2 big big hits and then a few smaller ones. doubt it will be still on the chart in 30 weeks.

how do u think ooh la willchart next weel its top 60 on downloads this week, there other 2 singles are on the chart for ages now

If it's top 60 on downloads? It probs won't break the top 20

It will chart aroud the top 20 I reckon, which is pretty good considering its the 6th single off the album. ^_^
YA 6TH SINGLE is a bit much of an album but it will do ok but it will help boost album sales again, the album will sell at least a million i think to
I find this track VERY irritating. One of the most overrated bands of the moment unfortunately.
