September 5, 20186 yr I think I’ll have to listen to this album. Unfortunately ‘Bloom’ and ‘Dance To This’ killed any hype I was feeling for this, which is why I haven’t been stanning quite as hard this era.
September 5, 20186 yr Quite enjoyed this album. Hadn't been super fussed on the singles throughout the year but they held up really well as part of the album. Generally pretty chill which worked better than expected. I also like that as well known he is around the world, he keeps including collaborations from more alt-leaning Australian artists who aren't that well known overseas. It was really cool that his first album had Tkay & Allday and now Gordi gets to be alongside Ariana as one of only two features. I've really gained a lot of admiration for Troye over the years.
September 7, 20186 yr I really didn't expect this album to debut in the top 10! I've not streamed an album so much in its first week for absolutely ages, after seeing him slip 8-9-10 in the midweeks I was expecting a #11 debut so for it to hold at #10 is really impressive - a huge improvement on the #43 peak of his last album. I never realised 'Wild' peaked at #5 though :o I just wish he'd gotten a proper hit out of the messy set of single releases from this campaign, everything was there for "Dance to This" being a hit, it's probably one of the most baffling flops I've witnessed in recent times.
September 11, 20186 yr Now that I'm not on holiday and have got around to sitting and listening to this properly... I really love the album! Still can't point out a fave individual track, but sometimes I don't need to. It all works incredibly well together and flows amazingly!
September 15, 20186 yr Shame this dropped 10->57 No hits in sight so will probably plummet further in coming weeks.
September 16, 20186 yr What A Heavenly Way to Die has hit me SO HARD. This album has defined the past few weeks for me. I have cried so many tears of happiness and euphoria listening to the beautiful, heartfelt, relatable masterpiece.
September 16, 20186 yr What A Heavenly Way to Die has hit me SO HARD. This album has defined the past few weeks for me. I have cried so many tears of happiness and euphoria listening to the beautiful, heartfelt, relatable masterpiece. It is a great album - definitely my album of the year. There's always 1 album that I seem to do to death every year and this year it is Bloom :jump: Edited September 16, 20186 yr by ElectroBoy
September 16, 20186 yr 'Plum' is everything, what a song  One of my favourites from him already!
October 18, 20186 yr Troye has released a new song called "Revelation" with an artist called Jónsi for the film 'Boy Erased' (in which he also stars): rwCnYFAEeSg It's not as good as anything on 'Bloom' but I'm sure it'll sound great in the context of the movie which I can't wait to see!
October 18, 20186 yr what you talking about this is amazing, best thing Troye has ever done most unlikely collaboration ever, Jonsi is the leader from Sigur Ros also personality-wise they couldn't be more different as Jonsi is super shy and doesn't even talk to people totally could see this winning an Oscar
November 20, 20186 yr he's also touring EU!! nice!! is he still gonna be promoting Bloom? seems like the era is dead
November 20, 20186 yr he's also touring EU!! nice!! is he still gonna be promoting Bloom? seems like the era is dead Well the tour is the Bloom tour :D
November 20, 20186 yr They're just side projects though. The 'Bloom' tour will be done in terms of chart impact, but he'll still be promoting it.
November 20, 20186 yr but for side projects, he's putting a lot of effort into them, he's 100% focused on that now, 0% on Bloom he's even doing a tour with Charli XCX in the US to promote 1999 appearing in all tv and radio shows
