Way too much Whitney focus. It’s Abi’s funeral so nothing else should matter. Why did Dot get only one scene?

 

Donna was the best thing about this episode, the only one that got me emotionally. Loved her friendship with Abi.

 

Tanya crying in the car I actually found quite cringy. Worse still was Lauren not at all emoting in that scene. They so killed off he wrong sister. If Lauren is gone now, GOOD.

Why are they so extra about Lauren going to Scotland? :lol: As if you can't just get a train or a plane up there quite easily. Ik it can cost a bit but it's hardly like when she went halfway across the world to New Zealand. It is a bit ridiculous that they absolutely HAD to leave the day of her sister's funeral though... I get she wants to leave Walford where so many bad things have happened but give her a say or two, Christ.

 

I agree that Donna was the only one really giving me any emotions or feeling "real", I can't get over "me you and Jay are the best friends my cousin ever had" when Robbie has been back 5 minutes and barely ever shared scenes with her anyway :lol:

Yeah, Robbie remembering he was her cousin despite never ever talking to her was a bit off. Speaking of which, Sonia didn’t go to the funeral? Also where were Denise, Honey and Sharon after the scene in the caf on Thursday? I also love that they invite Rainie to watch Abi die but not to her funeral.

 

Also, where did Lauren’s Josh is so boring come from? Isn’t that the recycled excuse she used to treat Steven like shit? Ugh she is the worst.

It was okay but not great. Too much stuff was just off with that all. It reminded me of the bad job they did of Ronnie & Roxy's funeral but at least there was no rave this time :')

 

I expect Cora could come back with Rainie to try and get baby Abi off Max? I don't see why else Rainie would be coming back otherwise.

I think why Donna stood out to me yesterday was because she was the one who cared most about Abi rather than herself. Almost every single one of Abi’s family cared more about their own feelings rather than Abi. When JACK BRANNING comes across as the least selfish family member, you know something has gone wrong.

 

Donna had the most accurate reading of Abi’s life and what I’d have given for a scene of her tearing Lauren to shreds for being awful.

Lauren's exit was just a waste of time and all over the place.

 

I don't even see the benefit of axing abi and Lauren as the exits have been handled badly except for the Christmas Day episode.

 

Overall the storylines remain a complete and utter mess.

Once June Brown leaves it is time to axe the Branning clan
