We haven't opened a mid chart topic as it's very unlikely that we'll get any mids this or next week. On the other hand though it means the chart will throw up a lot of surprises. :D
I think we might get midweeks next Wednesday as all the Music Week staff will be back in the office and working on the next issue of the magazine. The OCC may even do an update next Tuesday when they are all back in the office.

There is someone working in the OCC office today as news stories have appeared on their website but the midweeks top 100 is still the one from Monday 18/12. We'll see if they give an update tomorrow but given that the chart will be full of Christmas tracks which largely lose their appeal from today they might not even bother.

Wouldn't surprise me if Wham or Mariah were no1!
If either are at number 1 they'll be heading for the most spectacular drop from the top!

Tell me about it, all the not-so-fresh music will go flying back up the chart next week.

Glad I'm playing it by ear this week, as you say, I think the first update will be next week, if not Tuesday from OCC, we should definitely get one from MW next Weds.
