Yeh he gets a lot of radio 2 support - I like seasonal songs so downloaded his 12 Tales of Christmas which is quite good especially the single he performed Midnight Mass - although the covers on the album including 2000 Miles and Stay Another Day are poor. The new tracks are very good!

 

2000 Miles by The Pretenders, now that's a brill Christmas song that never seems to do well in the Christmas official chart :( I guess it is probably stuck near the end of the spotify playlists? Although it doesn't even do well in the itunes chart either, I guess it doesn't get much AirPlay over Christmas on radio compared to the ones that have returned to the chart this Christmas.

I don't have the exact positions but 2000 Miles annually makes the top 50 airplay chart.

Lovely song, very underrated and underappreciated Christmas song imo!

It's one of my favourites, the original that is not Tom's version!

Pointless is quite popular I have heard a lot of mostly older people talking about it irl so maybe that performance will be enough for a decent sized boost.
