I understand what your saying. I do a 5 day week. 7:30-5 and some days I get home and even the thought of doing my own dinner feels like a marathon.

If there was no Hot Hits UK do you think songs would be able to take off just as quickly as they are now, or would people just keep playing the hits of yesterday because there's no promo for the new stuff? HHUK is brilliant exposure for newly released songs like Friends which on its second week of release is already in the top five.

I think Hot Hits UK can be both a help and a hindrance. It can assist songs in sticking around way longer than necessary, but Shape of You hasn't been on it in ages and it's still top 50 so...

For comparison, here's the YouTube chart where there are no advertised music playlists to my knowledge (it's a few weeks out of date, but still).
