surprised Wombats are doing so well on streaming, thats a positive surprise

Interested to see if the OCC will twist Black Panther as an artist album. I think Kendrick Lamar is involved in most if not all the songs (even the ones he's not credited on) so it arguably wouldn't be much different to 'Trolls'.

 

In any case, wow at 'All The Stars' going top 5!! Really hope that can go top 10 this week (and fix the sham of SZA's highest chart position being that horrendous Maroon 5 feature). Yass for the James Blake featuring songs being top 100 as well.

It's not a cast recording like the Trolls soundtrack though, so surely it'd count as a compilation? :unsure:

I remember the soundtrack to 'Sound City' charted in the album chart and that wasn't a cast recording either, just charted because Dave Grohl contributed to all the songs. I agree it SHOULD be on the compilation chart but you never know what the OCC are going to do with their rules :P

I think this is how it USED to be - and is (or was) in the States.

I think they started the Compilations chart because the NOW series was taking up the #1 spot too often in place of artist albums, which would still be the case today.

Black Panther tracks from the compilation should do pretty well, I did think about it the other day, most of the tracks on there are by different artists, so they should feature in the top 100 chart, without getting starred out.

 

I guess that's one way of getting a whole album in the singles chart, I just hope I didn't give Ed Sheeran any ideas :lol:
