Good, I can’t stand Nick!

Nick Grimshaw on breakfast was a big disappointment, I really liked him when he was a nighttime presenter and took things more seriously but I wasn't much of a fan of his presentation style in the mornings. I don't expect Greg James to be that much different tbh. I am surprised Grimshaw lasted this long really!

I guess I’m the only one here who actually liked Nick on the breakfast show? Hell of a lot better than Chris Moyles! :wacko:

Summer Mixes are again returning for the fourth year in a row.

New Shows starting from September

 

- New presenter Jack Saunders will present a new music show from Mon-Thurs 11-1am

- Huw Stephens will present a BBC Introducing show Sunday 11-1am

- Radio 1’s Chillest Show with Phil Taggart will be 7-9 on Sundays

- The Rock Show with Daniel P Carter 9-11pm

- R1 Residency moved to Mondays 1-3am (Monki will remain a part of the Radio 1 Dance family apprantly)

 

and on 1xtra from January Snoochie Shy will be joining the 1Xtra family, with her very own specialist music show every Monday (1-3am).

Can't wait for Jack Saunders' show, great to hear more rock on R1!

I was wondering that when I listened yesterday.

 

I'm happy not all of it is Greatest Hits, as I'm too young to know most of the songs!

I put it on a lunchtime and heard Christine and the Queens and then M-22... I was like WHERE ARE THE GREATEST HITS. What even is the point.

 

Lol bye Huw Stephens (definitely on his way out), but NO @ Monki losing her own show. She should be on Friday nights.

Lol if the presenters Jordan and Maya wanted their own proper show why not make friday's show a joint show between them and have that be a regular show and have greatest hits only on saturday and sunday :lol:

But its one show that doesn't play new music they have plenty of shows that do play new music. Ofcom need to chill.

Ordered yes, but Radio 1 don't have to listen to them and abide by their rules. Ofcom don't own Radio 1 :')

Radio 1 play new music on EVERY single show apart from The Greatest Hits one.

Summer Mixes return this upcoming Monday at 8:30am. Much better start time and I think it's the first time the Summer Mix is starting in June.
