Posted January 3, 20187 yr M8PsZki6NGU Just stumbled upon this on Netflix. Not overly impressed with the trailer but it looks potentially quite nice. Edited February 16, 20205 yr by *CENSORED*
January 3, 20187 yr The premise for this sounds great (there is another trailer floating around which focuses more on Joel Kinnamon rather than James Purefoy). I will be checking it out for sure as long as the reviews are not absolutely terrible.
January 23, 20187 yr Anyone watching this? It seems to be getting quite the push, I've seen it advertised loads recently.
January 23, 20187 yr Anyone watching this? It seems to be getting quite the push, I've seen it advertised loads recently. It comes out next Friday. The reviews look good, certainly has not given it the kiss of death before the show has even aired.
January 24, 20187 yr It comes out next Friday. Oh!!! Do you know what would help, if people clearly put the release date in the thread subtitle. Edited January 24, 20187 yr by dandy*
January 24, 20187 yr Intrigued by this. Think I will be watching, hopefully it's good and not just style over substance.
January 24, 20187 yr Author Oh!!! Do you know what would help, if people clearly put the release date in the thread subtitle. what's so confusing about 'Feb 2' bitch?
February 2, 20187 yr Anyone seen this yet? How is it? It's getting decent reviews so I might check it out but based on what I've read it doesn't seem exactly like I was thinking
February 3, 20187 yr All I know so far is Mr Purefoy is EXCITED to be NUDE which is enough to put me right off
February 3, 20187 yr I've watched the first 3 eps and I'm not really feeling it, it's kind of dragging a bit and nothings really grabbing me :(
February 3, 20187 yr Author All I know so far is Mr Purefoy is EXCITED to be NUDE which is enough to put me right off it was quite a LONG scene~
February 3, 20187 yr Author watched first 3 episodes too and it's kinda slow at the moment but i'll continue as i'm curious about the answers
February 4, 20187 yr Watched episode 1 last night. Visually gorgeous, but I found the plot hard to keep up with.. I kept thinking I had missed bits and pieces. I have heard it's a bit of a slow burner but comes really good towards the end, so I will stick with it.
February 4, 20187 yr Author Just finished it and it does get going from episode 5. The last few episodes are all very gripping. I would agree about missing bits and pieces but everything gets much clearer towards the end. I loved exploration of the whole idea of having your mind transferred to different bodies and basically never dying. There is a couple of things that don't really make a lot of sense in that universe though. If your stack is broken and you don't back it up you are "real death'd". What would stop killers from damaging the stacks? I believe according to the premise only the rich can afford to back them up unless i missed something. So immortality in that situation is not as easy to achieve as killers would just go for the stacks each time~ Great twist with the sister. I didn't quite see it coming! LOVING the clusterf*** of being transferred to completely different bodies - race, gender, age-wise, etc. I hoped they would keep Eva in that body haha. Oh and Ortega's grandma being in that tattooed man's body was hilarious. I was impressed by his Spanish, I don't believe the actor has any Latin heritage though. His Russian was awful, however~
February 13, 20187 yr I really enjoyed this in the end, some really predictable moments but also a few great twists along the way. I really enjoyed the Elliot family dynamic. One thing that really bugged me though.. all the accents? I would have thought that far in the future all the accents would have been completely neutralized? The woman who plays Ortega is a terrible actress, infact pretty much all the female leads were weak. I hope Lizzie has a bigger role in a future series.
March 21, 20205 yr Author I watched it in pretty much one go. A tad more chaotic than the first season and overall I’m not sure it was actually even that needed.
