'Something New' sold 131k in 2012; 69k sold since. That's Girls Aloud's 9th certified single, with 'Biology' likely to be next.

 

'Ready for Your Love' sold 399k in 2014; 201k sold since.

 

'Say Something' sold 396k in 2015; 204k sold since.

 

'Strong' sold 115k in 2013; 285k sold since.

 

'7 Years' sold 1.511m by the end of 2016; 289k sold since.

 

'Can't Stop' sold under the required 37k to reach the Top 200 of 2003, yet has become one of few songs to be certified Platinum despite not reaching the Top 20.

 

'I'm Not the Only One' sold 895k by the end of 2015; 305k sold since.

 

'Last Nite' sold under the required 57k to reach the Top 200 of 2001.

 

The OCC revealed 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' sold 590k in 1987, which would put its total to date at 1.190m, although the OCC didn't acknowledge it in their Millionaires Single article.

 

'Just a Lil Bit' sold 52k in 2005; 148k sold since.

 

'No One' sold 253k by the end of 2008; 347k sold since.

 

'When the Sun Goes Down' sold 124k in 2006; 476k sold since.

 

'One Week' sold 177k in 1999; 223k sold since.

 

'I'm Still Standing' sold a little under 300k in 1983, so its total should be approaching 500k.

 

'Enter Sandman' probably sold a little under 100k in 1991, so approaching 500k in total.

 

'Thriller' sold an estimated 310k in the 80s; 910k sold to date.

That latest set of certifications sums up where the music industry is right now. A list as long as your arm of streaming fueled songs that get certifications so easily now because the OCC hasn't a clue how to grade streaming sales inline with past cd and download sales. Then there is albums where the OCC have been too strict with streaming and while album downloads are dead and cd sales continue to fall they haven't worked out a system to stem that tide of falling sales helped by streaming.

'No Matter What' sold 1.074m in 1998; 126k sold since. In September 2017, the OCC revealed it had sold 1.184m, so it's averaging ~1.6k a month.

 

'Thinking About You' sold 226k by the end of 2013; 174k sold since.

 

'Gold Digger' sold 125k in 2005, 72k in 2006 and 45k in 2007, bringing its total to 242k by the end of 2007. Even before streaming, it was a solid trickle seller - by February 2013, it had sold 490k and was certified Platinum in July 2014 when streaming up to the start of 2014 was added to song totals. In September 2017, it had sold 1.011m, which suggests it is currently averaging an impressive ~4.7k a week. I don't think it's managing quite as much as that most weeks but still a considerable portion.

 

'Rollin'' sold 285k in 2001; 315k sold since.

 

'Always Where I Need to Be' sold 100k in 2008; 100k sold since. It was The Kooks' highest peaking single but of course 'Naive' and 'She Moves in Her Own Way' are way more popular, with totals of 1.1m+ and 700k+ respectively.

wish they had a better system for certifying the songs released in that period as it's rather sad that a big top 3 from 2007 supposedly sold only as much as (and probably less than) a 2015 track that didn't even chart (Lean & Bop, which I'm sure is somewhat popular itself but still).
