It's actually 40,000. Reggaeton Lento was certified 2x platinum for 160,000 sales. Black Magic was also certified gold years ago.

I'm wondering if they are too lazy at NVPI? They only mention Hair and Touch.

Idk why NVPI are slow in updating but they only started late last year so maybe that's the reason why.

Thanks and it's still a bit messy regarding the NVPI. Wondering..gold should be 15.000 and platinum 30.000 in the Netherlands? I saw the 160.000 so I'm a bit confused with Dutch certifications atm?

Yeah it's confusing but I think at the moment it's 40,000 for gold and 80,000 for platinum? I have no idea about the past though.

Just looked at Little Mix's sales, wow they are officially the biggest selling girl band in the UK of all time! :o

Their combined sales put them at 16 million records compared to 14 million of Spice Girls. Hats off to them they deserve it for sticking together for so long, hope they continue!

Yay! Massive success, still not quite easy to compare to Spice Girls, because streaming is so different to spending 3.99 on a CD or 99p on a digital download. But who knows how Spice Girls would have done on streaming? Anyway, well done everyone!

To be fair I only mentioned Spice Girls because they were the biggest selling girl band in the UK, you're right you can't totally compare.

However regardless of how it was achieved Little Mix can claim to have more 'sales' than any other girlband ever in the UK. Who would have thought back when they were auditioning for X Factor that one day they could say that :wub:

The Spice Girls didn’t actually release that much material either.

Bands like LM, Girls Aloud, Suagababes released far more didn’t they.

An amazing achievement for Little Mix though for me they’re such a strong group and vocally they’re the best of any UK girl group.

Still pains me that those 3 have quite extensive discographies and the Spice Girls one is quite minuscule :cry: There is quite an extensive solo discography but it's just not the same!

I think Spice Girls' discography is just perfect, 3 albums, 2 of which are brilliant, and a GH. Sums them up brilliantly.

I agree, their discography is fine the way it is. Quality over quantity isn't a bad thing at all.

Ah but quality AND quantity is even better!! :lol:

To be fair the bar was set pretty high with the first two albums, and the third album pop demos suggest they wouldn't have kept that quality going as they were not on the same level.

Off topic a bit here but Spice Girls' legacy would've never been the same if they had continued for years without the original line up, with very weak material and trying to chase the trends like Sugababes did.
