I unfortunately found out the winner before watching the race but it didn't make it any less enthralling. In fact I was mulling over how the f*** has he won from back in sixth? But a Toro Rosso collision sparking a Safety Car which massively benefited the 2 RBRs  I smell a conspiracy (I'm joking btw).

Absolutely delighted Danny Ric pulled it off - he ALWAYS wins the exciting races, he absolutely schooled Verstappen in the art of overtaking today, but a big thank you to him for taking Vettel out!

Danny Ric is the overtake master. Putting one in on turn 6 was a special move.

Defo worth the watch Mack! It’s not often I’ve said that this past 4 years!!!

Funny how when merc struggle and are on par with Ferrari and RBR the races are always more exciting. Hamilton also throws a massive strop which is entertaining as hell. I just cackle every time he cries on team radio when he’s not in the lead. Vettels team radio meltdown tho I timed to perfection. I counted down to the start of that  we all knew that was coming when max lunged. Fair play tho, Vettel took it well after and his comments to the media were tame and fair

Thanks Lenny/Midge for the B-League! Great to see Renault firmly on top. It’s fab to have them back as a constructor. Rooting for lotus wasn’t the same and I had to take RBR in 2015 when Enstone betrayed the cause for a year

Can we all just take moment to appreciate Alonso's great move on Vettel

YES!!!

Alonso’s move on anyone is worth watching. He must be enjoying have a car capable of overtaking rather than being overtaken again

Fantastic race, some quality moves from Ricciardo there, deserved to win. Max once again taking a risk too many with his overtaking moves.

Yeah it's amazing seeing Fernando in a car capable of overtaking. Give him a car and he'll drive the wheels off it. Although you could tell the move was on Vettel as he cut across him so hard! No love lost there at all

Well let's just give this some context. As nice a move it was vettel had a damaged car. And it was a bit cheeky, had max pulled that move everyone would be up in arms.
Not certain that Vettel's car was particularly damaged but he was definitely struggling with his tyres near the end. I agree it was... a forceful move but as far as I'm concerned we need more of that from the drivers.

It was quite a brilliant move from Alonso on Vettel. Verstappen could have won the race possibly if he haven't had made those two mistakes. A weird incident with the Toro Rosso guys there. Gasly the hero from Bahrain trying a risky move on Hartley.

I think once again Raikkonen missed out on a potential victory there in China.

Can't see him ever winning again in F1. Ferraris puppet. Vettel and both Mercs would all have to have retired & even then he'd probably be passed by an RBR.

I'd have liked to have seen Max 2nd in a Red Bull 1-2... but that'd have meant Vettel not spinning and moving down as far as 8th... I'd like to see a Kimi win again as much as I don't like him in the Ferrari; he's such a legend. Loved Alonso's move on Vettel as well - BOTH showed skill in that one really, Vettel to avoid a collision whilst still fighting for it.

There is plans to change how much full each car can carry, with the amount being increased in 2019 by 5kg to 110 in the bid to try and stop cars fuel saving during a race, allowing drivers to press more.

Also next year the driver's weight will be counted separately to that of the car and plans that drivers should weigh a minimum weight (expected t be 80kg) Any driver under that weight will have to carry ballast.

In addition, drivers will be using biometric gloves to give medical teams info on a drivers condition after a crash.

What is Hartley doing slowing down in the middle of the track could have been a nasty incident with Gasly in qualifying.

I've never thought of Hartley as anything but a completely incompetent driver. Kyvat was a million times better than he is which says it all...

Hartley slowing down in the middle of the track was dangerous. Will he get reprimanded?

Should have been Kimi's pole today but as usual he bottled it. Wouldn't have made a jot of difference as he'd be given the worse strategy anyway...

Let's hope we get a race even half as interesting as last year's!
