Sunderland drew in an awful, boring game.

Yay.

The standard of football I thought was actually pretty strong but just nothing happened! Strange game.

West Ham still in with a shout of automatic promotion after Southampton were held to a draw. They have to play Reading next weekend and any result is potentially a good one. We've got Birmingham and Brighton next so a chance to prove our playoff credentials, ironically if we win both we might not even need to go through the playoffs.

beyond awful? if we are that bad then how have we beaten southampton, leicester and the florist? maybe luck for the florist but the others were hard fought victories. Honestly it would be so nice to see you big headed scumbags go down and into administration. it would bring you back down to earth. tut w******.

Wow, you truly have anger problems don't you? Why on earth would you assume I support Nottingham Forest? I had them on my coupon, but continue insulting them because I am truly hating them aswell.

If I support any championship team it would most likely be Reading (because of Noel Hunt)

I really hope Man Utd confirm the title in their game with Everton so Man City have to form a guard of honour for them. I'm really quite sick of City now, the money, the hype, Tevez, Balotelli.... I hope the gap gets widened further, 12-15 points.

Aye, would have been nice if either keeper had actually had anything to do over the 90 minutes. Some juicy tackles flying in though, loved Gardner's on Bale near the end.

Least they don't get absurd decisions going for them...

Absolute bottlers are Man City. They're better in every deparment than Man Utd, yet they still f*** it up.

It's a bit of a cliche but I do think experience of title races makes a big difference. The Man U squad have dozens of league title medals between them while the Man C squad have very few, If I'd been a betting man y money would have gone on Utd a couple months or so ago for that very reason.

It makes a massive difference does experience, but having luck counts a whole lot more. Man City are absolute bottlers and I hope they crash and burn now as it serves them right. Silva goes off form and they collapse. But regardless Man Utd have, and always will have ridiculous luck on their side, especially at Old Trafford. Suppose the Ashley Young dive will be swept under the carpet again by the media, can't wait until Fergie has a go at Suarez for diving next

Maybe City would have won had Toure not been injured, I really think Yaya is influential and quite underrated in the midfield.

Mancini ha salso announced that Ballotelli's future is now in the air due to his performance today.

Possibly, but they went from trouncing teams, to be cautious again. Yaya Toure is good, but he's overrated. He's not even the best holding midfielder in the Premier League (2/3 are better than him imo). Just think they bottled it. Dzeko has been poo. Not surprised at Balotteli, they guy is an exceptional player, but a loose cannon. They're going ti go all guns in the summer for Van Persie either way.

Basically, I think in January they will have a massive clearance.

It would be intresting to see if Adebayor will be playing for City next year though.

Adebayor might go back to Man City if Mancini isn't there, he certainly won't end up at Tottenham though.

No doubt Mancini will be sacked if City don't win the league(which they wont) I can see Adebayor going to Italy or Spain tbh, maybe a team like Inter or Valencia?

Dunno. The problem is he is on mental wages, no club bar a handful can afford to pay those wages. I could see that Russian club Aznhi going for him. Hope Man City don't sack Mancini, they'd be wrong to if they want to win the league next season.

Funny fact aswell. Lee Mason (until today) hadn't given a red card for over 30 games. Don't mind officals getting decisions wrong from time to time, but they got thrree absolutely massive ones all wrong within 30 seconds of each other. Gifts Man Utd 10-12 points over the season.

City are, with six games left, on the same number of points as they managed all of last season so they're undoubtedly making progress. United need at least one big signing in the summer, how they're still theoretically able to get the PL's record highest points total (which I believe is Chelsea's of 95) after being so poor all season is beyond me.

Imagine Eto'o and Adebayor upfront, sounds quite frightning tbh! If they sack Mancini where are they going to get better though?

I am still praying Jose wins the Champions League & La Liga with Real Madrid & returns to Chelsea next year. Quite fortunate for Chelsea beating Wigan though, they were on the backfoot for the majority of the game and the less said about both goals (minus Torres's amazing shot) the beter.

Man United need more than one big signing, they need 2/3 imo. Carrick has been very good this season controlling the game, but whether he can do that constantly is another big thing. They also need to replace Scholes. Why teams give him the light of day is beyond me. Yes he is a very good player, but he doesn't have the legs to control games like he used to. Stop him from having any influence on the game then you effectively stop Man Utd. Rafael is terrible. And Phil Jones is neither a title winning centre back, or a midfielder. They need a CB, full-back and 1/2 central midfielders.

They are still a top side, but this season they have only really had Man City for competition, and they have completely bottled it. Teams still roll over for them. must get 12-15 points a season from psychology alone!

You would expect them to make major progress with their players getting time to gel from previous seasons and the amount of money they are spending on players. Chelsea need a couple of massive signings next year to have any hope of fighting for the league.

I knew this result would be all about Man City "imploding" and not about the fact that Arsenal were absolutely fantastic today. The scoreline could and should have easily been about 3-0 and it wouldn't have flattered them. Vermaelen clearing off the line for them, RVP hitting the post twice, Walcott hitting the post etc etc. I am amazed Balotelli didn't get sent off earlier for the horrible challenge on Song, and even more surprised Mancini left him on long enough to get the second yellow. Just imagine if we had fit full backs all season, I think we would have been just short of United, but certainly able to challenge for second place :(

QPR were very unfortunate with the red card / penalty, but they seemed happier to play today as an exercise in limiting the damage to their goal difference with 10 men behind the ball rather than go for a goal, and for that reason (and because Hughes is in charge) I'd love to see them go down.

City have had luck too, Balotelli should've been sent off twice this season and didn't. Against Spurs he went on to score the winning goal and yesterday he still got sent off as they failed to take advantage of it. The decision for Young's penalty was awful yesterday but Man Utd are far from alone in getting decisions go for them and they do go against them from time to time too... I'd agree with any Man Utd fan that says the non-award of a penalty to Fulham at 1-0 cancelled out the award of a penalty to Newcastle when Rio played the ball which Demba Ba scored to make it 1-1.

Refs don't favour big teams but they occasionally make mistakes. If there's going to be a certain number of dodgy penalties given in any season the chances are more are going to be given to teams who spend longer in the opponents box, that is always the best teams, who also happen to be the biggest.

May fault for starting it haha. Though I didn't see the game so couldn't comment on it. I'm just completely sick of Man City and everything about them.

The fact that Man Utd have been so average and yet manage to sail to another title win says more for the quality in the Premiership at the moment than anything else really.

City were poor yesterday and Arsenal thoroughly deserved to win, they should have gone 2 or 3 up really and were quite unlucky in that respect, Man City never really threatened at all and the less said about Balotelli the better. Why didn't Mancini take him off for christ sake?
