Very unlikely I'd say, 58 million in debt and the administrator said they've not had any offers yet. They've still got another year of parachute payments but most of those go to the former owner... They're away at Forest on the final day of the season. They want to bring an absolutely huge following because their fans do fear it'll be their last ever game.

thats a shame. their is also these rumours about celtic replacing them but cant see it being true.

Reading all but promoted after tonight's win, and if Southampton play as they do then they should have absolutely no problem keeping West Ham at arms length. Hopefully either Blackpool or Brighton go up through the playoffs and not a snoozefest team like Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Birmingham.
It would be nice to see three different teams go up, I don't want Birmingham or West Ham to go up (particularly the latter). Southampton have been gone for a while and so have Reading, Blackpool were only there a season and would still class as different. If I had to put it in order of preference I'd say Brighton > Blackpool > Middlesbrough > Cardiff > Birmingham > West Ham > Leicester
^ I'd pretty much agree with that, except switch WHU and Brum.
I'd like to see West Ham, Southampton and Brighton go up but I suspect Brighton would go straight back down

West Ham beat Brighton 6-0 today and Leicester lost today which all but rules those two out. Birmingham have a 5 point cushion so it looks like 2 from Blackpool, Cardiff and Middlesbrough to join them. At the bottom a lot of teams picked up points, Doncaster's relegation confirmed, Pompey 7 points adrift and Coventry 4. Looks like a a battle between Bristol City and Coventry. Forest, Barnsley and Peterborough can all go but would require Coventry winning all 3 games, at home to Millwall and Doncaster then away to Southampton.

In the Premier League QPR and Blackburn lost again, big chances for Wigan and Bolton now. QPR have to play 3 teams fighting for the title/champions league.

Terrible news from Italy where a player, Piermario Morosini, has died of a heart attack in a second division match between Livorno and Pescara.

Makes it even more tragic that apparently a veichle was blocking the entrance so that the ambulance couldn't get there. RIP.

Blackburn appear to have capitulated again.

sad news about the italian footballer. as my family always say he was someones son someones grandson etc.

bristol city should be all but safe now really as we only need 5 points and thats if we lose all our games and coventry win their games.

coventry maximum points-49

bristol city maximum points-53

reallistically if we can draw to west ham and beat barnsley plus relying on coventry to drop points then we will be safe. keep the faith

Hypocrisy at it's finest with Ashley Young. Not saying there was not the slightest, minimal contact, just think it's so hypocritical of Ferguson. No need for that, it's absolutely disgusting to see.

That one is far worse than last weeks. It's the way he goes down that's the problem. Generally if a defender sticks his leg out and the attacker makes sure he gets contact on it to be a foul I have no problem with it, but Clark is moving away his leg there.

Yeah exactly! It took Sky so long to say it was a dive it was pathetic. And Dwight Yorke thinks it is ok. There is contact, but if that's a penalty then dear me. The guy moves his leg away, Young just trips in to it and makes the most of it, completely. There's no need for it. Some Manchester United fans may not like it, but it just adds more fuel to the fire that they always get the favourable decisions, especially at home. Would Wigan have got a penalty for that at the DW? Who knows. What I think is even worse was that Young did that to his former club who are fighting a relegation battle almost.

Retrospective bans for diving would put a stop to Young / Bale etc doing this. Second weekend in a row the refs have essentially killed off a game by buying his dive.

Whether you like it or not if there is contact then he has the right to go down plus it as given for the trip on the right leg. I personally don't think these ones should be given but they are. Also remember Ashley Young was a diver when he was at Villa as well.

You can always look at this for actual stats about United being favoured by refs. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-17562451

These things level out and I think I stated recently that the last time I went to Old Trafford we had a penalty given against us and we've been screwed out of plenty of decisions this season as I keep saying. Newcastle shouldn't have had a penalty against us for example. Martin Atkinson screwed us over TWICE at Stamford Bridge in the last few years and has given a phantom goal for Chelsea, people never say anything about him but there is always the same old crap about Webb.

After today you could be forgiven for thinking Atkinson was a closet Chelsea fan.

There was contact, but it was accidental. The player attempted to move his foot away and Young's clipped it. That's twice in two weeks he's done that. It shouldn't be allowed to be given because it's a dive, and a blatant one at that.

I don't think these things level themselves out, personally. But that's just my opinion. Decisions time and time again always go for the bigger teams. Scholes should have been sent off today for a tackle on the knee but he wasn't. Just those smaller things that go for bigger teams aswell.

The most disgusting image in football? Taken during the minute's silence for Hillsbrough.
