September 4, 20186 yr Basically anything up to the last two songs on the album could be a decent single tbh, obviously HMG is the best (and confirmed) choice but he could keep this era going for a while  Even Sugarcoat, which reminds me a lot of his first era
September 24, 20186 yr AirPlay for the next single should start around the start of October imo! "Hold My Girl" scheduled to go to radio on the 28th September (Friday) - fingers crossed it takes off! SHOTGUN IS OFFICIALLY NUMBER ONE IN AUSTRALIA!!! :cheer: :cheer: Great news! Still don’t understand what’s so special about "Shotgun" over his other 3 UK Top 10 hits but still delighted for its success. Also to see that ultra cheesy Dean Lewis track off of the top spot (makes me feel sad for Vance Joy who is so much better!)
September 25, 20186 yr Not the biggest fan of Hold My Girl... although I guess its a fitting song for the time of year etc. But agreed Pretty Shining People is an obvious single - I guess maybe in the new year?
September 25, 20186 yr On reflection, though I thought "Pretty Shining People" would've been a good late summer follow up to "Shotgun", I think it's too similar to (and too soon after) "Paradise" and that "Hold My Girl" is a more sensible choice.
September 25, 20186 yr I love Saviour... but I doubt that would be a single given HMG is going to be pushed
September 25, 20186 yr He's performing 'Shotgun' on the Strictly results show this weekend. I know they're gonna start pushing 'Hold My Girl' around middle of October so this'll be the last push for this single I think.
September 25, 20186 yr lmao does Shotgun really need that final push though? Would've made sense to capitalise on being on such a viewed programme to then now start promoting this new single and gets those sales in asap especially as we are now on the second post-album single and things may potentially dip here.
September 27, 20186 yr Hold My Girl for Christmas Number 1? Indeed Featuring Beyoncé or something like that lol
October 1, 20186 yr Great performance on Strictly last night (nice shirt too): jLVZ9DkZZOo He has also just been announced for BBC Children In Need Rocks on 7th November at Wembley Arena (Olly Murs, Rita Ora and Jess Glynne are all on the lineup too).
October 1, 20186 yr Pretty Shining People to be the CIN song for 2018? *.* Push Hold My Girl in spring and let PSP be a hit over Christmas
October 1, 20186 yr Pretty Shining People to be the CIN song for 2018? *.* Push Hold My Girl in spring and let PSP be a hit over Christmas Hopefully it will be the CIN song for 2018, 'Pretty Shining People'.
October 15, 20186 yr Could have a couple weeks or so at the top, but can't see it being the actual Christmas #1, too early to say for that
October 15, 20186 yr Yeah I think a week at least at number one, but it's too early to call if it'll even still be in contention come 21st December (which is the last Friday before Christmas, thus the date of this year's Christmas chart). Depends how much the public take to it I guess!
