New money is absolutely dreadful, IMO it’s worse than potion and that’s saying something

I really couldn't be less excited about this. :(

and here I was thinking he could drop the album out of the blue any given Friday... Oct 28 seems so far away, he's gonna release half the album so that he can have some fake album streams and not flop completely.

October 28th is just the vinyl release date, it looks like the digital and CD release date is August 5th.

I am starting to get concerned about the quality of this album now, New Money was done a lot lot better 5 years ago when it was called Rollin...

Hopefully there will be better stuff on the rest of the album. I'm still enjoying Potion but can see Vol.2 suffering with the comparisons to Vol.1.

I hope this album goes #1 but I can’t see it going #1 as Beyoncé's album is released a week before which means she might have big enough streams in her second week to stop him from going to the top

Kasabian will 100% be #1 that week, Calvin will be lucky to be Top 10/5 without any physicals.

for what I understand the CDs and cassettes are out Aug 5, it's just the vinyl that comes out later in Oct

but anyway his biggest figures should come from streaming not physicals

Not quite. Of Funk Wav Vol. 1's 19k opening week sales, 7k came from streaming.

At least this album won’t be stopped from #1 by Ed Sheeran like his last two albums were

Potion hasn’t set the charts on fire yet and can’t really see the album doing that well unless the songs are better.

Part 2 is the continuation of the song, which is shown in the music video.

 

Track #9 (1:24) from the album is the outro of the song, which is sung by Justin Timberlake. The song is the same length of the music video (5:13), but Calvin decided to split in two, being track #8 ["Stay With Me"] (3:49) and track #9 [TBA] (1:24). I don't know the reasons why he did that, but I guess it was for streaming purposes.

'New To You' is the best thing this era so far. It's the song I feel like he tried to create with 'Potion' (which I found to be quite dull and monotonous) but didn't quite manage. Those strings are gorgeous!
