This album *.* the back-to-back run of 'Strip'/'Monster in Me'/'Joan of Arc' particularly gives me life.

Monster In Me is fantastic! Would come close to rivalling Secret Love Song for their best ballad.

 

In face it may edge passed it soon.

this is a v. loud album that i have to be in the mood for... generally not their best but 'motivate', 'wasabi', 'think about us' and 'monster in me' are great.

I think 'Notice' is the one major weak link for me. I really dislike it for some reason lmao. Oops.

 

But other than that I can at least listen to everything else. It's such a good album!

It's a shame the label drama cut the era so short, because the fact they took their time on the album really shows.

 

Imagine a singles run of Woman Like Me > Monster In Me > Wasabi > Think About Us.

I always thought it did have a video but it never got released. Along the lines of More than Words

I don't even think they need to take their time, in terms of like cohesion Salute is their best and that came together in around 2 weeks.

 

I think they need to focus on a direction and go with it, they all sorta had an idea with LM5 and it paid off in terms of critical success, although w/some duds.

 

Confetti was always intended to be a collection of singles, if they really wanted to they could easily create a solid album in the same timeframe. It's their ambition that was lacking IMO not their timeframe, but hopefully with this relit fire thanks to 2021 we may get another solid album from them.

That song is among my top 3 Little Mix songs - up there with SM and Touch. Such a horrible shame it wasn't a single and has never had a live moment! Perhaps my taste doesn't quite align with most of the GP and fans, 'cos the song isn't even amongst the most streamed tracks on LM5!

I noticed that too and I may have snuck in a few cheeky streams meself. B-)

This album had a lot of single potential. Wasabi could have been huge.

 

I think pushing MTW as a video promo was a mistake because the video is dreadful and the song isn't amazing.

 

They also should have just said Strip was a single. It would have done fine.

 

TAU entire campaign was a disaster.

'strip' was an absolute disaster and never should have been on the album, let alone a promo single.

'Think About Us' would have been fine if it wasn't for all the kafuffle going on at the label and the mess with the music video. I think they were trying to mimic the Glory Days run, hoping 'TAU' would have similar success to 'NMSS' which I think it would have, had the campaign been smoother, with 'Wasabi' acting as the 'Power' single (fan favourite massive banger.),

 

The thing is 'TAU' is clearly a Spring/Summer single and 'Monster In Me' SCREAMED winter ballad single and January 25th would have been the perfect date to hit us with that with 'TAU' coming in May/June just before 'Bounce Back' was released followed by 'Wasabi' in the Autumn. Another idea would have been to follow 'WLM' with 'Wasabi' in January, 'TAU' in Spring and then 'Monster In Me' with a spooky but glamorous video for October, get those halloween streams. :lol:

yeah i agree about TAU its a fab song.

 

I don't rlly like WLM but i guess its the only track on the record that is lead single worthy.

The Cure is another cute one. It actually had 2 tracks on the album - the normal one and the stripped version. Usually, songs with two tracks always became singles - based on their previous albums. LM5 is really THAT album!
