After the first listen: There are no bad songs. Think About Us is by far my favorite, because I'm basic like that. Distant seconds are Forget You Not, More Than Words, Motivate, Wasabi.

Of course all this will change after I listen to this more times.

It is too early to say if it provides the highs of other albums do but it is easy to see that it is their most well thought out and cohesive album to date.

Oh wow, clearly their best album! I wouldn't be mad if they pulled a Dua Lipa and released more than half of the album as singles, everything is great! I also realized they teased Monster In Me in an interview quite a while back. I must admit that every track is better than what I expected from hearing the snippets.

Highlights:

(WELL THE WHOLE THING, but I narrowed it down a bit)

Think About Us

Strip

Monster In Me

Joan Of Arc (Already Iconic.)

American Boy

Wasabi (OMG THIS IS MORE THAN ICONIC!!)

Motivate (If Destiny's Child and The Spice Girls collaborated)

The Cure

Forget You Not (As good as I was expecting)

I'll be expecting the singles to be Think About Us and Wasabi, but I wouldn't be mad with pretty much any of them.

Initial thoughts of the new songs, the best being Wasabi, Strip (rapidly keeps growing on more listens, I've had a few), Motivate and The Cure.

Think About Us - the Touch of this album, undoubtedly a hit and a pop banger that is fab, but I'm not *quite* living for it as much as others seem to be!

Strip - as I said in the thread, I really like it but having heard everything I just can't quite see it as the best choice for second single. I totally agree it's going to be an all or nothing kind of song, I suppose Wasabi would be the same though and I guess the girls loving it and wanting to push the hell out of it, plus the message, is half the battle.

Monster In Me - a great little ballad, more fleshed out than a lot of their others (but I like that rawness sometimes).

Love A Girl Right - the Thong Song sample is a bit jarring and odd, but I feel like this'll grow a lot.

American Boy - kind of a lesser Woman Like Me, light bop but not an absolute fave.

Wasabi - I'd prefer this as second single if they wanted to go a bit out there, but I appreciate that it doesn't have that empowering message. Idk there's just something about this that clicks that bit more than Strip for me.

More Than Words - really nice ballad, nothing hugely special.

Motivate - kind of gives me a 90s version of I Like It by Cardi B teas, fabbb <3

Notice - this puts me in mind of what Lauren Jauregui's debut *should* have been, it's got that vibe but is just way more fleshed out and memorable.

The Cure - pop brilliance, so hooky!

Forget You Not - BOP, it's nothing we haven't heard in other songs but it really works, a bit different than their usual pop bops with the DJ Mustard vibes.

Woman's World - LOVE the theme of this, musically it kind of puts me in mind of a beefed up Little Me, the lyrics definitely elevate me but it really takes off as it goes off!

‘Wasabi”, ‘Forget You Not’ and ‘The Cure’ are definitely favourites on first listen. Was getting some Black Eyes Peas ‘Shut Up’ vibes in parts of Wasabi.

Wasn’t particular over keen on ‘Woman’s World’ or ‘More Than Words”.

I'm so unbelievably happy with this album. The highs are still incredible and yet there's not a single song that I don't like (unlike GD that had similar highs). Tentative ranking for me:

Career highlights:

1) Forget You Not

2) Wasabi

3) Think About Us

4) American Boy

5) Motivate

6) Monster In Me

Great:

7) Love a Girl Right

8) Notice

9) Joan of Arc

Good:

10) More Than Words

11) Strip

12) Woman Like Me

Cute, if unspectacular:

13) The Cure

14) Woman's World

15) Told You So

I agree this could be their best album too, I couldn't pick a single song I disliked or wouldn't really go back to whereas all the others have at least 2 or 3 (or like half the album in the case of DNA ). Obviously it is hard to compare atm to the highs of all of the others as those songs are among all time faves for me, but in terms of being cohesive and consistent, this is definitely it.

Very excited to listen to this in full. Very positive reviews so I have high hopes

Being a bit of a geek and trying to wait until I hold the CD in my hands and play it from the CD and hear it that way. Always try and do that with artists I’m big fans of although I’ll probably have caved by 2am

Wow at Mumford being #1.

I had Buble down as their competition.

LM will easily win on streaming though.

Wasabi and Think About us are so good!! I also actually instantly liked strip! Tbh this is a great pop album so impressed

This entire album is giving me Tell Me You Love Me teas, just the right balance between old and new LM

First Impressions:

- Strip is BEYOND AMAZING. Part of it is v. urban, the other part sounds v. 2 am drunk vogueing in the club

- American Boy could be inserted in Fifth Harmony's self-titled and I wouldn't tell the difference

- I think there's a lot more to Love A Girl Right than the Sisqo sample, the Santana-esque background guitar sent me *.* Very early 2000's

- FORGET ME NOT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE SOUND TINASHE SHOULD HAVE COME BACK WITH. A BOP

- Someone in the YT comments said Wasabi sounds like a PCD song, I definitely agree

My ranking after a fair few listens:

12. Love A Girl Right

13. Told You So

14. Notice

Not a single song below 7 for me though! The bottom 5 or so I'd probably love if they were on 'Salute'. Particularly LAGR & AB!

Every time I've listened to the album though, Strip feels like it's been creeping up my affections.. It's ridiculously infectious, I should never have doubted it

The "Oh oh"s in 'Wasabi' give me major 'Never Leave You (Uh Oh)' by Lumidee vibes.

I’m really let down by ‘monster in me’, the clip suggested it would be an wxperimental number in the vein of ‘why try’ by ariana but instead its just a dated stargate track from 2005.

Monster in Me is top 4 on the album for me. I don’t think I’ve been that moved by a Little Mix ballad before.

Urgh - kworb isn’t updating their album positions.

So annoying.

What do you mean? You sure it’s not just stuck at 4?

FORGET ME NOT IS A DELUXE TRACK ????????????

They are totally going to give this 'White Lies' teas on tour aren't they :(
