I think The 1975 are the only big new release. Michael Buble and Take That should complete the Top 3 as they have big promo. I'd say The Greatest Showman would be the main album that could prevent Little Mix from climbing to #4.

Yeah definitely doing the rounds! Pretty confident he's going to get the Xmas #1 album now.

They make it up as they go along, I don’t know why they do that. Certifications don’t get awarded until Fridays. They’re right it’ll be silver tomorrow, but last time they guessed Glory Days was over a million sales from guessing and got it wrong lol.

Yes, thats what i thought lol

Their Usa situation is worse than the last era. At least in the last era they toured with Ariana Grande and did send SOTME and Touch to USA radio. This new era it appears that they have no desire to promote or be successful in the USA. Nothing has got sent to USA radio yet. It's even underperforming in the Uk as the album is down to like #35 on Uk itunes.

Why do you keep touting this as if iTunes has any sort of relevance in 2018? Especially for albums.

Album downloads count for nothing. They're in the 2nd week of a top 5 official position and only behind a massive soundtrack and older generation faves such as Buble, Take That and Cliff Richard (whose target auduences are out in their droves xmas shopping right now)

I feel like the US is not worth bothering with in all honesty at this point and I had a feeling they wouldn't bother with the US at all this era. It's a shame, but if it was gonna happen, I think it would've done so by now.

I'm absolutely over the moon they chose to completely ignore the US this era. That's how it should have been since Black Magic flopped there. They're not the only relevant market

Didn’t they do some US promo? I recall there was an event in New York?

Not a lick.

Spotify:

DNA: 209,467,765

Salute: 272,535,289

Get Weird: 844,987,045

Glory Days: 1,349,199,861

LM5: 232,650,225

Others: 27,580,656

TOTAL: 2,936,420,841 (+41,412,193 streams gained in the last week)

I don’t mind that they’re ignoring they’re ignoring the US but I’m not sure it’s a conscious choice seeing as how they’re pretty much ignoring every single country that isn’t the UK.
I feel it's a conscious decision for now. The fact they didn't bother to further promote a Nicki Minaj track (who's name would grab audiences/airplay of some sort if pushed) along with no physical release of the album over there.
I actually love that they're skipping the usual wasted time on Today show performances and useless radio tours. Honestly rap is the main thing right now in the US, if you're going to waste promo time abroad, flight to Oceania, Europe or even Latin America. They've been super negligent towards Oceania lately by the way.
I understand them ignoring the US, I gave up on it, but them not promoting outside of the UK when they keep blabbing about "world domination" is... hilarious.
