December 10, 20186 yr Author Final EOY stats dump time ~~ apols for the slight delay but this is wayyy earlier than I posted this either of the last two years (when I didn't get around to it until late January oops xx). Thanks to those who have commented in this thread during the year, and here's to another year of me posting more stats than anyone actually needs :cheer: First the final EOY lists: EOY by points - Aeroche didn't really have to do anything to remain #1 for the end of the year but they only went and got a top 3 hit with their auto-qualifier in BJSC 110 anyway (their third medallist and 5th top 10 hit of the year), further expanding their lead at the top from 191 points to 210 to easily claim the title of EOY #1 for the 6th consecutive year. Quintessa also solidified their position in the silver medal slot after claiming a third top 10 hit in a row, and their sixth of the year. Both countries passed the 2,000 points mark for the year with their latest results. FARC got a 4th straight top 10 hit (and matched Quintessa's 6 for the most top 10 hits across 2018) allowing them to sneak up 4-3 to end the year in the bronze medal position, denying it to Cor Lupus who drop a place to 4th in the final update of the year. Jadakissnia rise a place to 5th to end the year in the second best position they've been in all year. - Unovia recover one place back to 6th, overtaking South Danaelanda who fell well short of the BJSC 110 final but still only drop 5-7. Séyetana climb two places to 8th despite a low finish this time around, thanks to Cowtermont and Trifoski also DNQing, which costs both of them a year-end top 10 position at the last minute as they drop 8-11 and 9-12 respectively. The vacancies in the top 10 are filled by St. Burbia, up 11-9 to return to the top 10 after dropping out in the last update, and Cadelicia who climb 12-10, making the top 10 for the first time this year after hovering in the teens for the majority of it. - Other climbers and new entries in the EOY top 30 and/or the BJSC 110 top 10: Persephonia 22-14 (I got a lucky break with so many ahead of me DNQing or not entering in 110 xx), FSR Rontvia 21-18, Tartford 24-19, Taahino 28-20 as they ended the year the way they started with a top 5 hit (their only two top 10 hits to date), New Lexico 23-21, Aelandor 35-27 after getting their first medal position with a 2nd place this time, Bøtanikkä 29-28, Dobago 32-30 following their second top 10 of the year, Daehun 41-34 also with their second top 10 of the year, Oslol 58-43 after their first ever winner, Hendinia 51-46 after finally securing their first top 10 and top 5 of the year (from only 4 entries in fairness), Mulgracia in at #67 as they finally got another qualifier after 4 straight DNQs (lifting them off dead last in the YTD) and made it count as it went all the way to the top 10. Quintessa drop 1-2 despite picking up 2 more 18s of their own. These two were the only countries to average 2 or more 18s per contest this year. Another bumper crop of 18s for Unovia (4 of them) rockets them up 7-3, and Aeroche's quest for a triple YTD victory didn't come to fruition but they are also on the up, climbing 6-4 after gaining three 18s this time. Jadakissnia got one more 18, enough for them to stay top 5 here although down 3-5 to match their position on the other two lists. - Cor Lupus are up 8-6 after picking up two more maximums, a second DNQ in a row sees Niceland fall 4-7 two months after leading the list, République d'Ashton (also former leaders) didn't get any more 18s this time and fall 5-8, Rolloland hold in 9th despite a DNQ and St. Burbia edge up 11-10 despite also not getting any more 18s, due to Cowtermont's DNQ which makes them drop 10-11 (falling behind St. Burbia in the tiebreak). December 10, 20186 yr Author And the extra stuff ~ Firstly, I've compiled the EOY positions for every country from previous years (just using each block of 10 contests as each 'year', the first couple of years don't correspond exactly to calendar years but we don't care about that xx). Interesting to note that the entire EOY top 11 this year have matched or beaten their best ever EOY finish! Totals are in red if the country suffered a deduction in any final during the year. Of course the current update of that is exactly the same as the final EOY top 30 posted above but I'll start including this in my monthly YTD updates as well as it throws up some interesting results of its own (and Aeroche aren't quite as dominant as their 6 straight years of EOY #1 indicate - they still have way more months at #1 than anyone else but several others have had their turns at #1 on this over the last 6 years). December 10, 20186 yr Yasss chart runs *.* I may or may not have geekily calculated mine out of curiosity for previous years :kink: I'm pleased to see that this is actually my second most successful year, that surprises me.
