October 24, 200618 yr I agree with you Scotty. Once everyone gets past all the bad press over Rudebox and actually gives it a listen they'll realize how brilliant it is. I really liked Intensive Care, but this is so much better.
October 24, 200618 yr QUOTE(char1sma @ Oct 24 2006, 08:04 PM) Robbie has no talent on singing and writing WTF!?! Pay no attention to Charis. He is obsessed with Westlife and apperently everyone else is talentless  Bless him :(
October 24, 200618 yr Author Well we already have a reviews thread in their :P Maybe Suse wanted to find out what others thought ^_^ Exactly. I don't want full reviews...just a thumbs up or down from people who wouldn't necessarily call themselves fans. Happy to see that most of you are really enjoying it. Keep then coming  .
October 24, 200618 yr Do people diss robbie in here, cause I wont be able to stand it if they do? -_-
October 24, 200618 yr I agree with you Scotty. Once everyone gets past all the bad press over Rudebox and actually gives it a listen they'll realize how brilliant it is. I really liked Intensive Care, but this is so much better. I agree 100%. I loved IC but Rudebox has made me realise how boring it was, well when you compare the two ^_^ Lyrically IC was great but also quite depressing. It did'nt have any fillers IMO but also did'nt have any truely classic Robbie songs. Rudebox has loads and I cannot pick one favourite song. Love it so much
October 24, 200618 yr Do people diss robbie in here, cause I wont be able to stand it if they do? -_- well i hope that we will get people who will give an honest unbiased review (not the obsessive fans obv). so that is the good as well as the bad. as it could be £18 you end up wasting innit?
October 24, 200618 yr well i hope that we will get people who will give an honest unbiased review (not the obsessive fans obv). so that is the good as well as the bad. as it could be £18 you end up wasting innit? You can get it for 7.99 on CDWOW
October 24, 200618 yr You can get it for 7.99 on CDWOW  i was talking about the cd/dvd. i'll only normally buy a normal album if its something like £4. like dvds. like video
October 24, 200618 yr I agree with that 100% but a person could simply say, they didn't like the album, they could say maybe they thought the album was boring or tired, but to go as far as to say that an artist who is worth multi-millions has absolutely no talent is just plain ignorant! -_-
October 24, 200618 yr I'm a rocker and I'm not into dance, but I'm into truth and feelings in my music, and that is why I love this album, dance or not, Robbie Williams can do no wrong in my opinion, and as far as his lyric trouble....that's called 'freedom of speech' ! There are many artists who can offend a lot worse then robbie does, and you dont hear anyone boohooing over their work! <_<
October 24, 200618 yr This album is fantastic and I listen to it everyday, I love it!! Especially Bongo, the 90s, the 80s, she's madonna, burslem normals rudebox, louise, never touch that switch....oh hell....all of it!! Edited October 24, 200618 yr by Supreme
October 24, 200618 yr I've listened to the album several times now so I feel confident enough to make a proper review. "Rudebox" is arguably the most consistant work Robbie Williams has delivered since "Sing When You're Winning" hit the shops in 2000. Aiming to a new dance/electropop sound influenced by the 80's, this new album reflects a drastic change in Robbie's music career and an upturn in my opinion. Kicking off with the debut single "Rudebox", which is rather longer than the single version we're used to, the album combines the styles that made the latest Madonna release a success with a strong influence from the 80's electropop from Pet Shop Boys amongst others. In opposition to the review that says the album has no direction, I consider it leads to something great, the consistency of the album is based in amazing lyrics squeezed into funky, catchy melodies and even some rap from Robbie. On a pretty premature listening, highlights on the album (apart from the singles "Rudebox" and "Lovelight") are "Viva Life On Mars", "She's Madonna", "Never Touch That Switch", "Kiss Me"; "The 80's" & "The 90's and "Summertime". There are no fillers on the album, just songs that outstand others, but all of them make a great LP, in my opinion, the best Robbie release in some time.
October 25, 200618 yr Charis i'm getting tired of this. You are particularly targeting artists who are infact more successful or could be a threat to Westlife, and it's becoming increasingly tedious. Either stop it now or i'll give you a warning. Got it? Thank you.
October 25, 200618 yr well i hope that we will get people who will give an honest unbiased review (not the obsessive fans obv). so that is the good as well as the bad. as it could be £18 you end up wasting innit? Got mine at Asda for under £15. Certainly not money wasted
October 25, 200618 yr Author Thanks everyone. I am still waiting for a few people..Josh? Slick? My next question is how does it stack up with the other big albums of the year...like Timberlake and Scissor Sisters...can it compete with them musically? Unbiased views please. October 26, 200618 yr I think some of Rudebox is brilliant! The best tracks are The 80s, Lovelight, The 90s, Kiss Me, She's Madonna, Summertime and We're The Pet Shop Boys. I think this is his best album for years - much better than IC. I would recommend it.
October 26, 200618 yr I've never really been a hige fan of Robbie but I bought this because I liked Lovelight and lots of people were saying good stuff about it. ^_^ Its got a very retro feel to the album and its a decent album. I can't compare it to any of his older stuff as I don't have it but this is a decent album. There are a couple of duff tracks that are just filler tracks but there are some real gems. ^_^ My favourite tracks are Lovelight and Keep On. There in a class ahead of the rest of the album IMO. The 80's and 90's tracks make me laugh but I think that just might be me and my mind. But both of those two are decent tracks and have a good beat to them. ^_^
October 27, 200618 yr Got mine at Asda for under £15. Certainly not money wasted its about that price in music zone too
