This is what is needed for the album and i greatly look forward to the show and the book.

Does anyone else find it odd that they're celebrating their 30th anniversary quite a bit in advance of it truly being the case? They formed in 1990, yet are starting the 30th celebration in 2018 with that BBC show / release of a Greatest Hits album.

"Has it really been 30 years?" Take That pondered.

... nope.

It’s a funny one! I remember they had this debate about how to celebrate 25 years. Was it 25 years since they met; or their first single; or first album...

I guess there’s probably more label pressure than anything else, to get this GH out the door and see what’s next. This will be the first GH under Polydor, so I’m sure they’re expecting similar sales to the UC over the next few years

Actually, they formed in 1989, so, by 2019, when they tour, there will be 30 years since they started.

I’m not sure how this album will sell. I’m sure it will do better than wonderland but I really can’t see it selling anything near the amounts achieved from their previous big sellers.
The days of huge sales are well over, based on the last 2 studio albums if this goes double platinum it would be a great result.

Double platinum i would be happy with too, that said, if they really push on promotion it has potential to perform very well for them.

I am confident it will achieve higher sales than both their previous studio albums.

I like your optimism :D Fingers crossed it happens this way.

Outselling wonderland will happen but three is on around 550,000 so it's hard to call,it needs to be selling solid in the Christmas peak weeks to build sales otherwise it may struggle to beat three.

I feel this could definitely break 1 million sales in the UK. Don’t forget, Wonderland was released outside of the high volume Xmas market, so difficult to compare

how is the overall reaction in the UK to the promo and tour? Not a lot in German and Dutch speaking countries, but that was likely also not the target countries and touring there is for the fans which is nice.

But I assume in the UK the hype is huge? Are there other big Christmas releases? Is Westlife releasing their album at the same time? Sorry if the questions had been discussed before.

They’ll also have already racked up thousands of sales for those who preordered to get your sale access...a head start as it were. It’ll all come down to the promotion strategy.

Take That are to release a new single this week.

Out Of Our Heads is one of three new songs to feature on their new greatest hits collection Odyssey. The song will get its first radio play tomorrow morning at 8am on The Hits Radio.
