Following in the footsteps of Crash Bandicoot's remaster last year, it is heavily rumoured that the original Spyro trilogy will be remastered and released in September for the series 20th anniversary. Supposedly we're getting an official announcement next month.

 

This has to be true as the trilogy is pretty much my fave of all time and my #1 dream to be remastered for PS4 :wub:

I remember playing Spyro: Year Of The Dragon as a kid so this is great news! May be good things to come for the Spyro series outside of Skylanders!

It's what I've wanted for ages, especially since Crash - which I don't like.

 

It'll be great for kids today to get to play them too, as they are really wholesome games for everyone and a lot of fun. Hopefully they can iron out the harder parts/ glitches too.

 

They could restart the series with a good remaster!

Really looking forward to this, hopefully this will be a triumphant return for Spyro!

I don't have a PS4, but according to the rumor it will be coming to other platforms next year, so I will just have to wait! Though, apparently the Crash remakes are coming to Switch and PC this year.

This is exactly what I've been waiting for, I loved the Crash reboot but it reminded me of the differences between the two franchises. This one is a bit more to my taste as it has a bit of open world-ness to it that the Crash games lacked.

I LITERALLY squealed when I read this was happening, the best gaming franchise on PS ever.

I prefer 2 and 3 - maybe the 3rd is the ebst as it's not ridiculously difficult like the first two, but all three are golden.
