'Let Me Blow Ya Mind' is not overrated. I've heard it on many nights out, always gets a reaction.

A couple of 90s classics there from Mark Morrison and Luniz. Been listening to a lot of 90s music recently (Cypress Hill, A Tribe Called Quest, 2Pac, Fugees, Nas etc...) so I welcome their inclusion!

Yessss! Crossroads! I love Blazin' Squad! Return of the mack is a classic also!

This Week:

This from the soundtrack to Space Jam.

2003: 50 Cent- In da Club

This probably of the most well-known urban songs of the 00s and still is today. The song that introduced us to 50 Cent.

2008: Flo Rida ft T-Pain- Low

This was huge ten years ago with this being used as the soundtrack to Step Up 2: The Streets

This week:

Sorry for it being a day late

1999: Jennifer Lopez- If You Had My Love

This debut single from Jennifer Lopez which made #5 in the UK. This is such was a great debut from her.

2003: Ashanti- Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)

This summer sizzler from Ashanti which has become a bonafind summer tune.

2005: Mariah Carey ft Fatman Scoop & Jermaine Dupri- It's Like That

The first of many good songs from Mariah in this year. This was her comeback after 'Glitter' and this was a successful one peaking at #4 in the UK.

Let me know what you think.

The only song I know this week is the Ashanti one, which sounds like a summer anthem.

This week (Urban)

1998- Busta Rhymes- Turn It Up/ Fire It Up

This from Busta Rhymes which contained a sample from Knight Rider, this made #2 in the UK.

1999: Eminem- My Name Is

The song that introduced to Marshall Mathers 'Slim Shady' aka Eminem. 19 years since his debut single.

2005: 50 Cent ft Olivia- Candy Shop

This was obviously not about that kind of candy shop. This was big at the time. I remember getting told off for watching the music video on The Hits was this came out for obvious reasons. Quite a dirty song this but has become a urban classic for me.

2005: Will Smith- Switch

This from Will Smith, his first single in 3 years. This seemed to be played a lot during that year.

This Week (R&B)

1998: K-Ci & JoJo- All My Life

This quite a R&B classic from 20 years ago.

2005: Ciara ft Missy Elliott- 1,2 Step

The follow-up to the #1 single 'Goodies' and this collaboration with Missy Elliott. A Top10 which consisted of that week of 'Candy Shop', 'Switch' this and the other two below. Wow! This is a fantastic tune from Ciara.

2005: Mario- Let Me Love You

This an a oldie but a goodie. This being Mario's biggest hit in the UK, his only Top10 hit. I really thought at the time he would have more hits. One of the great R&B love songs from 2005.

2005: Gwen Stefani ft Eve- Rich Girl

And the final one from this week, this was Gwen Stefani and Eve with Eve returning the favour with Gwen Stefani from 'Let Me Blow Ya Mind'. Enjoy.

Let me know what you think of this week's tunes. And what do you think of this concept.

Thanks.

'All My Life' is one of my earliest music memories, it was on the very first Now CD in America and was probably played at all of my middle school dances  The 90s were full of those kinda ballads but that was always one of my faves!

And 'Rich Girl' yesss  I like it now even more than I did at the time, it's aged very well just like the other Gwen/Eve collab 'Let Me Blow Ya Mind'!

This week (Urban)

2001: Missy Elliott- Get Ur Freak On
