It was? It was massive. 1,514,509 sold so far. 9 weeks at #1 including Christmas #1...

Also however you want to play it, Ciao Adios was also a really big hit.

I wonder if Rockabye will ever be considered bigger than Rather Be

i'd say Rather Be was bigger tbh

I would too, even if combined sales say otherwise (or are due to).

Honestly I'd say they were around equal in terms of general impact.

I'd say Rather Be is bigger than Rockabye but both were absolutely massive.

I think it's harsh and short-sighted to say this is a payola collaboration. Anne-Marie is one of the hottest names in British pop and is obviously good friends with Ed from touring with him (you can tell by social media). Heavy flopped but Ciao Adios was a big hit and FRIENDS looks to smash!

Exactly  One just happens to be absolutely huge. I don't know why there's always someone on this forum who has to be cynical and find ulterior motives and conspiracies. I'm sure if it was Dua Lipa and Adele buzzjack would explode but Ed's involved so of course Anne Marie is money grabbing because she's such a flop
It’s called ‘2002’.

OK does this mean its going to sound like music from 2002 then I wonder?

I very, very, very, very, very, very, very much doubt it.

i doubt it actually does tho, like it probably still sounds like it's from 2018 overall.

Early reports suggests the first verse of the song is Neptunes-inspired R&B, before going full-on into a Flip & Fill trance banger for the chorus, followed by a 2-step garage breakdown and then an indie jam for the end with Pete Docherty on guitar. Scooter also rumoured to be doing some additional vocals.
All I'm imagining is Ed Sheeran taking on Sk8er Boi, and it doesn't really work in my head
