Was thinking this myself and comparing George Ezra being in the pop section too!

well, if the script are in the indie rock alternative section, anything can be ;)

The Script suited I/R/A up until Rain came out :P

Years & Years are a weird mix of all three really, Sanctify is more Indie sounding I think but King was very Dance, and Desire was definitely Pop. This album is shaping up to be darker too judging by Sanctify and the album/song titles - so perhaps Urban influence too  Time for a Years & Years forum I think ;)

Years & Years are clearly pop imo but this forum has always been mostly an extension of the pop forum, just for anything even vaguely alternative.
There are just some acts that are discovered by our more indie leaning posters before the direction of the acts becomes clear - y&y, marina, Lana, Lorde etc could all arguably sit elsewhere but their core fan base on this site tend to be the folk who post in here.

Praying it’s better than Sanctify, which I think I enjoyed least of all their singles.
great, very summery, sounds good on 1st listen and pretty commercial
The plinky plonk production is a bit of a choice...But the chorus sounds like it could be a bit more memorable than Sanctify at least. Overall it’s still a bit meh as compared to King/Take Shelter / Shine they’re on a 0/2.
This hasn't made much of an impression on me on first listen. I can't remember how it goes and I listened to it only 10 minutes ago.
Anyone else getting that Imagine Dragons song from it?
Yeah, Imagine Dragons was my first thought too. I actually loved Sanctify but this is terrible.

Do you mean American Authors?

This is what I thought of on first listen. Definitely prefer "Sanctify" over this.

I think I was thinking of On Top of the World, but that one sounds even more like it (plus I did think that was Imagine Dragons :’))
